Default 2014 Vic Champs - Beat Off The Champs Challenge

It's been suggested that after the success of the Beat Lefty Challenge at the Ozgolf Champs that another is staged in Victoria.

This event will have a slight twist.

There are three current champs (Me, Peter_RS and NK). Nominate the champ you wish to challenge. Throw your $10 into the pool. You can take on one of them or all of them for $10 a nomination per challenge (take on all 3 for $30). As with the QLD champs, proxy challengers will be allowed.

Those offered up for beating off ....

    1. Peter_RS. The current Victorian Champion isn't even from Victoria. He's a couple of shots worse off handicap wise than he was last year. Can you take him while he's concentrating on the defence of his title?
    2. NK. The Wankers Champ. Threatened to pull out over there ... then turned up and hosed them all. Also comes to Vic with a deflated H'cap. Can you sneak in behind him while he's not watching?
    3. Marto. The current QLD champ is actually a ring in from NSW. Take him on State of Origin style.

You must beat or tie with the champ of your choice on Saturday to remain in the pool.
You must beat the champ of your choice on Sunday to win a share of the pool.
Challenge money to be paid to me by tee-off Saturday.

Ozgolf will get one share of the pool. So will the charity Beyond Blue.

I'll be taking on both of the other champs, so I'm putting in $20.

    So ...

    Marto x 2 - $20.
    Titty x 3 - $30
    Foxy x 3 - $30
    BenM x 2 Marto - Peter_RS - $20
    JMac x 3 - $30
    Courty x 3 - $30
    Waddsy v Marto - $10
    Jack Bauer (Spanner39) x 3 - $30
    Monsta65 x 3 - $30
    BITS (Proxy Lefty x 3) - $30
    Lefty x3 - $30
    PeteyD x3 - $30

So..... Who wants to Beat Off a Champs Challenge?

Default 2014 Vic Champs - Beat Off The Champs Challenge

I'm in for all three at $30. Just read the thread and realised it was about golf.

I'll have a crack at all 3 Marto so put me down for $30.

Looks like it will be fun to administer

Well, Beat Off The Champs Challenge was a huge success.

And the winners is .... THE CHAMPS.

After good scores by NK and myself knocked out most of the field on Saturday in benign conditions at The Dunes, Peter_RS came through on Sunday with a massive 37points in a gale to take out everyone else.

$430 in the pot to be shared by Ozgolf and beyond Blue.

Thanks to those who took part and happily made donations.

Bigger and better again next year.

I can't get the donation page to work to pass on this money. Can someone else test please? If it fails, I might do direct deposit instead, although it's harder to get a receipt that way.

I seem to be able to access it OK. Happy to do the donation by my card and be reimbursed if it helps.

Thanks, but I'll try the page at home then; maybe work block it, although I'd expect a firewall message.

I did it via the phone on 3G to avoid the work network.

All $430 from this fundraising paid to Beyond Blue. Well done OZgolfers.

And I'll put in the remaining once I've banked it. All up it's about $1560ish. Great effort.
