On the BFT cult. It’s funny, all I wanted at Anytime was a PT to kick my arse once a week but they couldn’t be bothered getting out of bed for 5am starts. Work ethic isn’t any different but now so much more focussed in a bit of a competitive environment. Being able to use any BFT sealed the deal and made the switch. I never thought I’d go for a class style gym but it’s really good.

Like F45 but wearing heart rate monitors. Alternate days between cardio and weight training. The idea is to work sufficiently to stay in whatever heart rate area is planned.
They don’t have one in Canberra as yet.

During the week I signed up to Hyrox - a lovely event in August where you do 8 activities such as 1000m ski machine, sled push/pull, 1000m rowing. All fun stuff. Oh, and you get to run a kilometre before each leg.
Doing the mixed pair with a lovely lass from the gym. She has a running background. We have to run together so the onus is on me not to drag her down. We can divvy up the activities however we like so I’d imagine that I’ll cop most of that.
It’s going to be an interesting 3 months of prep. Life is different.

Are they doing these in Australia now? A mate of mine did one in Barcelona recently and it appears he is doing more.

That’s awesome, I’ve been intrigued since watching Mark Lewis on YT do them a few times in the UK.
I’m 4 weeks out from my first 100 mile Ultra. Should be “FUN”!!

Same... but CrossFit has changed this for me. I guess it's more a 'group session' than 'class' style, but same concept. I'm fitter and stronger than ever, and I've been doing some form of training for the last 25 years. I wrote about it here... https://morningchalkup.com/community...t-one-year-in/
