98.6 this morning. Pending no hazard reduction, the bike ride is a goer for this Sat, plus some run/jog time.

In an effort to try and do something about my Gall Stones while awaiting an operation [and hopefully avoiding one] I have tried a few things. First up a High Fat Low Carb diet - lots of evidence around atm about this and I have to say that after the first few weeks on it I have felt fantastic - certainly lost some gut and mentally a lot better off for some reason [I had added tablets called Lipogen at the same time].
I have also started a 14 day detox [might even be quackery] with a limited range of foods and NO alcohol.......about 4 days into this - gut still going away - I am craving certain foods - dairy and beer but will try anything to avoid surgery!
Good work Damo. Hope it keeps going for you and you avoid going under the knife!
I had a bit of an ordinary week, battling a cold so I couldn't really train, and had a 40th on Saturday for a good mate and decided a while ago it'd be a cheat day, as the food and drink would be too good to pass up.
Still managed to drop . 7kgs for the week though and made it to 81.1 - so the 80kg goal is getting really close now. Maybe even within the week.
Weigh in will be tomorrow morning but had a bit of a loose weekend despite getting a brief jog in on Sat arvo. Nephew's 2nd birthday party and a late night kebab last night made yesterday the quintessential cheat day.
This arvo I only worked a half day, and just because I was wondering how far it is on foot from my house to my work (plus with my car at my mechanic's for the week), I walked home. A tick under 7km in about an hour, and hardly broke a sweat.
Gym opens on Fri, and I already have a session planned for Fri night so will figure out what the hell all that equipment does and tailor some sort of plan to get my strength up to a good level.
Ahhh kebabs, how I miss thee!
Be interested to see how you go with the gym. I was going to join the one near work as they'll subsidise it but they just changed the rules so I'd have to go on direct debit which I'm not keen on - would much rather pay in advance. Any other gym would be in town which is the opposite direction and I don't really want to have to travel, getting up early is hard enough as it is. The wife said to me the other day that she'd rather I buy more equipment than be away from home more but I really don't have much room - I could fit in a bench but that's about it.
Just waiting for something decent to come up on Gumtree (or failing that, save up some money to buy new). Dumbells just aren't cutting it.
The kebab was rather dirty and bad, so I regret it. But weigh in was 98.7 so fairly pleased that I didn't blow out.
I'm in direct debit but it's not a lock in contract, so I'll see how the first month or so goes and whether or not I enjoy it enough. It's $12/week so a few less skim lattes per week.
Weighed in at 97.8 yesterday morning.
A couple of light gym sessions last Fri and Sun night...mainly cardio (treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine) but a little bit of weights.
I've got a free PT health assessment to use in the next couple of weeks, so that will give me some sort of direction when it comes to structuring my sessions effectively.
Good work KJ! There is progress happening still, keep it up.
Will be interesting to see what the PT says. I still haven't got round to calling the guy I know.
You guys are doing great.
I'm getting close to breaking the 90kg barrier for the second time in my life.
Benny M and KJ inspired me this morning, scaled in at just over the ton which I was very surprised at, thought I was way more, off coffee only hot water and lemon for nearly 2 weeks, back on the one day a week drink routine not every day!!! Getting ready for COC, 4-5 kg's to go
This is some kind of bizarro world where I weigh less than AndyP and almost the same as Jarro.
I've been off the grog for 6 weeks, and yes I did enjoy a beer or 30. Also gave up the smokes a while back.
Well anyway I feel 1000% better, and have also gone down a shirt size.
Have also moved to NSW recently, so I'm looking to make some "life changes" and drop some more weight. I'll never be a string bean, but if I can get closer to 110kg I'll be happy.
Cheers
Craig

Dropped down under the ton pretty quick .

Is anyone working to specific diets and exercise plans or just doing their own thing ?
