Cheers Bihn, got to take a few more wickets yet, but happy with the good start.

C25K starts this week, so that should help.

Training program to get heffalumps like me off the couch and running 5 k (C25K = Couch to 5k). Basically an interval based training program for building running fitness.

Did it 10 years ago, and it actually works quite well.

    Official weigh-in time.

    Week 1: 102.1
    Week 2: 98.4

Almost 4 wickets gone. That rate of loss won't last (and I wouldn't want it to). I'd expect it to level out to about 1kg per week over the next fortnight or so.

I can't do running, my joints especially my knees can't take it. I'll be back cycling later this week.

Yeah, knees suck. That was my issue with running, even as a kid, and even in the c25k they hurt like a bitch. Got fitted at a running store and it helped a lot. But I tend to still injure them a bit. Had patella tracking issues, and cartilage strains every now and then. But what's the fun if you can't hurt yourself.

Water running is actually pretty bloody tough, when you do it properly and without a flotation belt.

Also for those that wanna try weights but hate the gym or just find it boring (me also) I do compound exercises with just a couple of different weight dumbbells. Provides an extra cardio workout, which I like after going for a run, walk or ride. It doesn't take too long, gives a pretty good all over workout, and I don't feel as trashed as I used to with traditional gym workouts. And adding muscle means more calories burned, at least that's what I've heard.

76kg this morning. More telling was my visceral fat was 7kg. Gotta get that sucker sorted out.

In a week where I have the kiddies on school holidays and its predicted 39 every day, it was nice to get out for a quick ride this morning. Only had half an hour, but found a couple of hills and cracked a decent sweat....

I fail at intake on weekends, but hopefully the 40k plus that I ran in the last 3 days more than compensates.

Now that the 12hr days have finished at work, I am contemplating riding the pushy to the GC of an afternoon with a wedge and putter.
Exercise and practise (need the latter sooo much at the moment) its a win-win situation

Sounds awesome mate, but if you are going to GL, wouldn't u just need to wedge to practice "putting" with???

Now MrBluu, just cause yoy were here on a "bad green" day doesnt mean that disparaging remarks are required !!!

Besides, If i can putt on our train track surfaces, I can putt anywhere

Dropped from 73.9 to 72.5 in one week. I haven't done a thing, except for doing solid poos for the first time in 6 weeks.

The exercising has started, 20km on the bike today (-700 calories) followed by a protein shake for lunch (calories) means to should romp in my 1600 calorie today.

Going to try to cycle 2-3 times a week and add a swim as well.
