I'm trying to lose weight but maintain a decent lifestyle, so all this is a starting point for me and I figure trying something is better than nothing.
My problem is I'm not really a small meal type of guy
that's why I tried the 16/8 fasting. I tried the 5/2 fasting before were you eat 600 calories 2 days a week and then normal the rest of the days, but I didn't find that sustainable. Also I was starving all day on the fasting days.
I'm using 1500 a guide as I know I can do 2000 calories with some exercise and I will still drop some weight. So the current aim is 1500 and fast 4 days a week if possible, anything more that that is a bonus and I'm not too stressed if I got over. The thing with the 16 /8 is I'm not snacking after dinner and I cut out the sugars and anything else that will spike my insulin levels during the fasting period.
Yesterday I had about 3000+ calories including chicken schnitzel wrap and beers for lunch and Steak, Salad, Chips and Pepper sauce for dinner with a couple of more beers after basketball. I had some ice cream and fruit for an afternoon snack...hahaha
I don't have any muscle to lose so I think I'm going to be ok..hahaha....
