I'm finally getting some exercise via deep water running. It looks stupid, and it's pretty boring, but it's something.

Not sure if I trust my scales but weighed in this morning at 103.2 - didn't do a lot more than I have previous weeks, but still dropped a touch over 2kg.

That's a pretty big drop in a week, KJ! Are you weighing yourself at the same time each day etc? Could just be fluids etc too. I gained a couple of kgs during Vic Champs but it fell back off within a few days once I got back on the diet so maybe you had a bad week the week before too.

On a semi related note, I was reading an article the other day about the best time to weigh yourself, which suggested do it in the morning pre-exercise and pre-food, which is what I have been doing anyway - but the more interesting thing was that it said that if you're going to weigh yourself every day then your actual weigh in should be an average of the most recent weights, to try and take out some of the fluctuations.

I've been weighing myself every day but rather than averaging I've just been trying to only log it in the app a couple of times a week at most, or when I'm really positive there's been a drop. For example I dropped about 200gms yesterday (was 93.8kg this morning) and that's probably right, since I had a good workout in the morning and a reasonable day intake wise, but I'll check again (pre-workout) tomorrow and log it then.

I am hoping the losses will accelerate a little, if I can keep to the program - at the moment I'm aiming for 30 mins on the cross trainer 3 times a week (Mon/Wed/Fri), that worked out to be over 4kms and 320 odd calories on Monday according to the machine. Hopefully within a couple of weeks it will be a bit easier and I can step up the intensity a bit if I need to.

stuck around 80kg which is a bit frustrating.

havent been getting enough decent sleep lately so think that could be a factor. Last time I dropped the weight one of the big changes I made was ensuring I got around 7 - 8 hours sleep per night

Ben, only in the morning pre-food/bathroom for my official weigh ins.

It has been low to mid 30s most of the past 7 or 8 days out here so even though I've generally gone through a 1.5L bottle each day plus the same at home, I'm putting some of it down to fluid.

EDIT: Thought I'd go through my posts and compile my weigh ins:

    14/1 112.8
    25/1 111.1
    1/2 110.3
    8/2 108.8
    16/2 108.1
    22/2 106.8
    29/2 105.5
    8/3 103.2

MyFitnessPal is set at 8700kJ/ day, and I'm generally either just getting there or under by a few hundred (although on the odd occasion I have exceeded it by, say, 500 or so).

Back to the usual Monday morning weigh in with 102.4. Still keeping to pretty good discipline with my meals even though I did sneak in 1 1/2 slices of pizza on Sat night and a couple of rather awful beef sausages last night.

Plenty of walking during the week but not a heap of cardio/strength, so will try and get back into that a bit more this week.

I got down to 93kg this week (Fri/Sat/Sun) but didn't count my weigh in this morning. 95kg thanks to a fundraiser day yesterday, a BBQ lunch; then beers and dinner at a mates place. Whoops!

I was back on the cross trainer this morning and have had a pretty good day foodwise so expecting to bounce back super quick.

No change this week...still 102.4 - not a heap of activity and footy food on Sat night wouldn't have been helpful.

Ahh well - good weeks and bad weeks

Social occasions are hard. Had pennant launch on Friday night (finger food/pizza) and Sunday was the pennant team that always serves wood fired pizza for lunch. So good..... At least it looked like it was.

And now you are going into 4 days of Easter. Time with family and friends, beers, chocolate. Ahh, bugger it. Have a cheat week and start again. Lifes too short to be hungry and miserable all the time.

You would think so wouldn't you.... But I am baching it this weekend so aside from after golf there won't be much temptation and of course I have a list of jobs to do, like gardening etc.

It's all good. I still eat chocolate (in small quantities) and limited amounts of beer.... Once I get to my goal weight I'll reassess what exercise needs to happen to stay there and still eat/drink reasonably well.

I just had a delicious ice cream. But I did ride 26km today, and walked 9 holes (6km round trip from home) - probably earned it.

90.2kg this morning. Things are getting very serious, I am at least one pants size smaller, wore the 36 shorts I bought off KJ a few months back on Saturday (they're now a comfortable fit) and all my 38s are swimming on me - I need a new wardrobe.

Still got a gut though, even after losing over 15kgs. Hoping to lose it completely, or at least get to 80kgs by my 40th (July).

Ben, it's moments like this where I regret selling my 36s... Those would fit perfectly now.

I forgot to weigh in this morning...will do so tomorrow, but I'm confident that there'll be a loss despite a small chocolate indulgence yesterday and today, and a substantial lunch yesterday. Got a couple of decent rides in over the long weekend - not long ones, but I was pushing myself a little with some solid climbs.
