I can't follow eating plans cos I'm lazy and there are too many things I dont eat. Let's see if the wife will cook any of them for me.

I'm finding this calorie counting pretty easy at the.moment especially when I'm throwing in some exercise too.

So one week past and I'm claiming 2 wickets as I'm down to 85.5kg this morning. This is with a few fat bastard sessions, a game of golf and a single bike ride. If I get to 80kg quickly then I might aim for 75kg, but going to take small steps.

This calorie counting thing has been pretty easily.

I bought digital scales which arrived yesterday.

Unfortunately made it look like I'm going backwards, looks like my old analogue scales were about 1kg too light! Still claiming the 3kg loss though, all the measurements were done on the same scales....

As of this morning, 96.4kgs according to the new ones, so the readings from now on will be easier to read and hopefully more accurate....

    Chest - 113cm

Actual weight = roughly 106kg ( I bought a cheap scale from Bunnings, which isn't digital, or very accurate I suspect).

I'm not going to diet as such, but I'll try to follow the more and less principle of more output (exercise) and less input (rubbish in my diet). I'm hoping for a minimum of 50k a week on the bike, 10k of walking and 2 walking games of golf while not going overboard on the biscuits and lollies that are my primary weakness.

I'm only going to update these measurements once a month, and I'm not going to stress about it too much.
I said I was only going to update once a month, but I had to know!

Small steps, but a good first result.

    Guts = 60cm, Chest = 110cm, Weight = about 105kg.

It was a good weather week, so I achieved my exercise targets.

    1/1: 116.0
    8/1: 114.3
    15/1: 112.8

Birthday coming up this weekend but I don't think I'll be bingeing on anything.

I haven't really worked out any sort of consistent exercise plan, however the fact that I'm on my feet walking all day at work helps a little. Will look to incorporate cycling into the afternoon routine next week where practical.

Hey Fatso! Am I talking to you? I left this thread open for my Mrs to read (Dr CT) whose PHD was related to obesity in the media. She asked me a question how many rounds do these guys play in a month? I said most would play once a week some more! She replied then how could they have body issues if they are active? A 85kg 6ft 40+ yo looks like a Kampuchean on a hunger strike! Yes we know the health risks associated with being overweight. Don’t let some Dr or dietician tell us the” average aussie” that we are fat. A 6ft 90 odd kilo is the modern norm there is plenty of evidence to support this. Just walk each round and dont eat pies at the turn!

Is being able to walk a round of golf an indication of being fit and healthy? I wouldn't have thought so.
