I'll weigh-in on the 6th when I go back to work and officially start making an effort. I'm expecting to be around the 102kg mark, and my target will be breaking 90.

Wow more 3 figures here than an English top order. Good luck to anyone trying to improve their health!

Ok... Using the cricket analogy, as we have a cricket team worth of people, every kilo dropped is a wicket taken.

We need 100 wickets to win the series 5-0.

Nearly took one with my first ball this morning.

Would also like to acknowledge previous champions here too .... Haysey and Haystacks. They have officially taken themselves off the fat bastards list.

Marto, late starter here, waist is 32 out to 42 over 20 years, not that concerned about weight (and can't be asred buying scales) but would like to notch the belt in a couple of holes. Some of my mates are having some success with the http://thefastdiet.co.uk/. I have been doing one day a week and will step it up, its at least something doable, getting off the piss and stuff like that just wont happen.

There's a few repeat offenders here. Do you not monitor your weight after you lost weight last time? Or do you just ignore the weight gain?

So it's just like the pro-shop threads.

Different attitude this time, as I plan to be a vocal PITA to others with my food/drink requests.

ps. And an added incentive was a couple of years experiencing how hard it was to get a 100+ kg parent in and out of chairs, cars, beds, etc. Gotta break the cycle.

Will settle for 100 kgs at this point and see what happens from there

    Confirmed at 99kgs starting weight. I think I'm about 178cms so that's a BMI of 31.

Confirmed at 79kg after Christmas and a cruise a couple of weeks before that. 168cm results in a BMI of 28.
70kg would bring me back to a BMI of 24.8.

Have jogged 11 holes and gone for a 1km 'run' with my 5 year old this morning.

113kg this morning ( +5kg in '13 - I am blaming not being a member of an actual club and playing that every wednesday competitive game )
105 or better would be nice especially as I am on the official countdown to 50 - 313 days

I'm a bit surprised that after xmas I'm only at 77kg (maybe bit less if weighed in morning before breaky but after evacuation) at 175cm tall. I seem to plateau at 74 and struggle to get down near 70 (my skeletor clause target). Have done very little since mid September but I finally feel like making a move again. Personally I'm not a fan of bmi cause it doesn't take into account muscle mass (most if not all nrl players would be obese by bmi standards) but I guess for us mere mortal types it's ok.

Right now all my excess weight seems to be around my gut and I struggle to lose it there.

Why not start a weekly weigh in thread, so say those interested can post their results say each Monday and have some accountability from the community?

1kg takes a wicket. Every .1kg after that scores our team 10 runs.

Every +.2kg earns the opposition 50 runs.

    Stop eating Maccas Ashes.

It's all comparative Monsta. If I'd watched my weight at school I could have been a rowing cox. I was 57kg when I left school in '84, 62kg when I got married in '94, 70kg in '04 and now 79kg in '14. While it has increased slowly, the rate of upward change is starting to increase.

Agreed. According to BMI a healthy weight for me is between 59 and 79 kgs. Ridiculous - I haven't been 59kgs since I was about 12, I'd be emaciated. Even if I got to 79kgs I would have basically zero body fat and a six pack. I have big arms/chest from years of carrying around heavy stuff at work and while I've lost a bit of the tone there is still a fair bit of muscle under the flab.

Last time I dieted like this I got to 87kgs before it got too hard. I had a fairly flat stomach then. Aiming to beat that this time but it'll take a bit more effort.
