Skivvies were not in style yetNice cardigan
its a country course, didnt need em. I can dig up a tie photo I you likeWhere's your tie ????
there was no other kind. did you see the tour bag in the background.is that the tour version persimmon?
aha, a constructive comment. each shot is of a different swing (that would be obvious) so its hard to tell exactly where the ball is, but opposiite the left heel or just inside is just aboout where it would be.ever tried positioning the pill somewhere inside your left heel?
Nice swing, Blakey. In some ways, it looks better than your swing now. Perhaps you should go back to wearing cardigans ...
Right leg a bit too straight here, perhaps? This can cause the head to dip a bit during the downswing and cause a bit of a reverse pivot of the hips.
Good shoulder turn here, but again a bit of reverse pivoting with the hips. Not as bad as reverse pivoting with the upper body though ...
It would want to be better - If I could have a swing half that good now i would be a much better golfer.Originally Posted by Jono

the camera is not exactly front on, so that might be a bit of an illusionGood shoulder turn here, but again a bit of reverse pivoting with the hips. Not as bad as reverse pivoting with the upper body though ...
this is a great example of where the right shoulder should be - right over top of the right leg, You got that Mandy
Nice pickup. I guess the 60's style golf bag, clothes, club, tee marker and haircut were not so obvious.Originally Posted by Jarro
Those shoes are awesome. When I play in a tournament I am going to dress like that.

John Blake went to heaven on 08/05/2009 aged 71, and left behind some memories.
17 Club and District golf championships, mostly in Gippsland, Victoria, followed up in Qld with 9 Club & District Lawn Bowls championships, 3 state Titles, State Team, and District Team of the Century.
No sadness, he triumphed over death 47 years ago, the remainder was a bonus, and 2 sons and 2 grandkids are the legacy of that.

Mark. Sorry to hear about your lost.
Sorry for your loss Mark, sounds like the old boy has left some big golf shoes to fill.

Snr had a classic golf swing in his prime. Blakey, did he do an apprenticeship with a pro as a lad? You are right mate, he is in heaven - all good people, especially those who golf, get to meet St. Peter.
Consciousness and awareness - awareness is being aware of what is happening and being aware of what is happening within ourselves while we are conscious. Where did I leave my glasses?
sorry mate
Sorry to hear about your loss Blakey.
Sorry to hear Mark, not sure what to say as I have not had a person as close lost yet. Only grandparents and that was tough enough.

Did an apprenticeship at Victoria GC for 2 years, and the 3rd year at Woodlands from about age 14-17, I forgot who his coach was, but he caddied for Peter Thomson a few times, and on the day that Harry Williams returned for one game of golf (if you know the story he shot Par and then wasnt interested in making a comeback and never returned) Dad handed him the set of clubs that was borrowed.
He didnt turn pro becuase he knew he wasnt in the class of the 1% of pro's that make money, but I reckon his dad dying at 17 probably influenced that as well, and the family movied to the country. I have an article somewhere that mentions him as "was one of Victorias most promising juniors up until the accident"
No, that would be the Apostle Paul, because he was the golfer. As he said in the letter to the Country club of Rome, "what I want to do I cannot do, and what I do not want to do, I do" - obviously he had a bad case of the yips. You are right mate, he is in heaven - all good people, especially those who golf, get to meet St. Peter.
