I'm calling bullshit, QLD did come into it because you said that it's being played in June so those who want to go to QLD Champs (ie you) can. I'm not upset because I can't come I can, I was merely commenting that numbers seemed poor & in my opinion that is a direct result of when they are being played.
You make a few assumptions, don't you? I'm not playing in the QLD Champs. Qld didn't come into it so much that I didn't even realise they had an event on in June.
It's getting boring you jumping into threads mouthing off. It's just golf FFS. Don't know why you care so much.

Are you taking into account the roadworks?Pretty sure it was always 2 hours from Forster to Newcastle and another 2 to Sydney when i lived there. That was a long time ago though and plenty new roads since, but when I did that trip again this year it seemed about the same time.

On the way to the champs, it took 2.75 to get to the Taree turnoff. (Clear run to Buledelah now, and some work happening around Coolongoolook. Most of the big projects is now north of Coffs and north of Grafton.)

Whereis gives it as 2hrs 56 mins to Tallwoods from Pennant Hills Road, Wahroonga.

Welcome back Lager! Are you open to car pooling, and what are you plans for travel times?

Keen to come down for this, but need to be back in Gladstone on Sunday night.

Btw, when I was down at Barny with BenM and Liptout we had a great chat with Ross Baker, who restores antique clubs. See link below for a bit about him. Anyway, I bought a putter that's about 100 years old and in perfect condition. Was thinking that could be the putting contest prize. I've got the exact specs on the club which I'll post up at some stage with a pic.

SMS, remember we spoke about the champs and job interviews. I was successful. Will have to raise it with them tomorrow. Won't be/shouldn't be an issue though. I wouldn't be too impressed at organising it and not going.

Speaking of me, I haven't entirely ruled myself out of this either. Would like to go.... but for various reasons I need to hold off another couple of months at least so I know where I sit with a few things.

Coffs is a nice part of the world. Haven't been there for years.

Hah! You didn't see the Vic Champs scores, did you?

Don't worry, if I do attend I'll be sure to handicap myself with plenty of alcohol just to give everyone a chance
