Interesting facts-: the top ten places were within 5 stableford points of each other.
17 points seperated NAGA and champ over two days.

I've made it home safely, so it looks like get the first chance to do a writeup.

Very short version: a great two days of golf and fun.

Slightly longer version: It was a bit windy and cool at Coffs on Saturday, and the greens were very quick, so scoring wasn't easy. Most players had hard luck stories, and the course really tested those of us who weren't on top of their game.

I cannot possibly do justice to the late Saturday arvo putting comp at Coffs. I had best leave that to someone who was actually in it. But DC was stiff to get done in the semi, only to see neither finalist hole any of their putts in the final.

Sunday at Bonville saw perfect weather on one of the most beautiful courses we could ever see. The greens were more friendly, and I suspect the decision to play from the white tees favoured people like me, because there were a few good form turnarounds on day 2.

I would particularly like to thank my partners, PeterRS, SMS and Lager Lover on Day 1, and Lucastro, Liptout and Anfield on Day 2. Lager really provided top entertainment and an amazing ability to keep smiling and laughing in the face of great adversity. Things happened to him that should never happen on a golf course.

Last and best thanks go to Matty for some excellent organising of a great event.

Thanks for all the well wishes. It was a close run thing, with everyone in the last group doing there best to lose the title over the last nine holes.

Big thanks to Matty for the organisation, and TS, Liptout, Lucasto, KJ, and DC for the rounds. Also thank Lager, 3puttpete and Daves for the hit at Murwillumbah and the travel.

    And Peppas for the buffet.

And DC again for hitting the most awesomest Sherman I have ever seen.

I'll display the trophy proudly, and hopefully be back for the defence.

    Cheers!
    Ben
