Keep Sawtell on the cards for those of us who fly in fri morn/thurs arvo.

I might know of a dodgy Italian restaurant that can accomodate us one of the nights

    Coffs,
I've cancelled the booking but if you want to organise fri golf there for others that might do that, feel free.
Let me know if you do and I'll put the option up in the first two posts of the thread.
The northerners can sort their own thing out for friday if they want, as Ferrins has suggested.
Ferrins, if you do organise something let me know and I'll update the opening couple of posts with details and you as contact person if you want.

Hey Matty, I've heard that Tallwoods is in pretty ordinary nick...Tuncurry may be another option for quality and only 10-15 minutes further out of the way. Thoughts?

Yes, sometimes my lyrics are sexist

The Golf Ops Manager at Tallwoods is a good mate of mine. Next time someone speaks to him, ask if he is related to Dolph Lungdren.

Any chance you can ring him and get the real picture on the condition?

Mate, I changed this purely for you knowing how sick of planes you must be.

Now you get to drive in, drive out!

Coffs Hacker maybe after a Friday game, plus any other fly-ins.

It will make a good conversation piece on fri. night, hearing about the various courses and broken clubs.

    Hi Matt.

That is a much better option. It is too hard to drive up to Sawtell in the morning and play. I was going to drive up on Friday and give the Sawtell a miss. Will be happy to drive up and play Tallwood and then continue onto to Coffs.

Tallwoods would be closer to the Hwy than Tuncurry. It would be an extra hour of driving to Tuncurry and then back track to the Hwy.

Yeah might even give Friday a miss fly up lunch time Friday and play somewhere Monday.

Don't worry, the airport is just over a km from the Coffs course, if you want some sneaky Friday practice (possibly on their 3rd nine).

20 years ago, there was a driving range, beside the airport and/or the racecourse. It may still be there.

Long weekend, school hols and there's a couple of family suites at the Aquajet.
Mum can take them to the Big Banana, etc., while dad plays golf.

ps. There are no child seat fittings in my car.

From Sydney Tuncurry will be about same as getting to Tallwoods. From the north no more than a few minutes. Sounds like you don't know the sneaky way to Tuncurry, you exit the motorway at Failford rd rather than the Great lakes exit
