Can the front wheel be fixed? I do a bit of "ghosty-ing" with my smoothy not sure it'd be possible/safe with the swivel wheel, saw one of these today and they looked nice.

No I have a founders club buggy which is very light and easy to get in and out of car. But when the wind blows it can be a bit unstable. The 3 wheel clicgear version would probably be fine. The 4 wheel looks like the brakes and stability might be a little better though.

Never had any problems with my Clicgear 3.0 stability wise, and that includes around your home course HB!

I really think the Flip N Go would suit a lot of golfers. I really rate Clickgear for how smooth it rolls and how well its made but it did not seem to fit a stand bag at all. FlpiNGo is well built, stable, folds down small, rolls pretty good but its big Plus is how well it fits a wide variety of golf bags, particularly stand bags.

Question on the clicgear(not worth a new thread)
What size umbrella do other tall people use? The two I have tried are too low and I have to duck to get under and the. My head hits.

Get the adjustable extension. It adds about 3 to 4 inches of height and it fixed that exact problem for me.

I have a smoothy with the long handle. Expensive though (used pro shop vouchers).

Axglo adjustable holders are about $20 from GCO. I have one of those on the Rovic, and can use a standard umbrella easily.

My clicgear front wheel has started making clicking noises when it rolls... anyone else had this? it's like something keeps hitting the spoke as it rolls. The brake cable is also really loose now... maybe I need to take it apart again.

I had a similar problem and it was the excess wire (from the brake cable) having a natural curl towards the spokes.

Fixed it with a 30* bend of the wire.

Usually carry but pro shop had special on clicgears - only some luminous green colour wheels ones as it turned out so I didn't bother.
A couple of days later I picked up a smoothy in garage clear out for the price of a 6 pack - used today for first time and must say I liked it - only problem is that it takes up my whole boot...

Hmm still clicing. Looks like the back of the gear that engages when the brake is pulled is hitting the spoke as it turns. If the brake cable is out it is all good. Hmmm...

    Love my Clicgear.
Peppas, I had that and took the break gear etc apart, 'greased-up' and re-installed, setting it up 'pretty' loose (ie the feel from the break lever).
    All good now.
Even if that not your answer, the break is so much better.
    Cheers

Is the general consensus that the Clicgear is still the go?

I purchased my buggy for $3 a decade ago. Better than the Clic gear shit IMHO and cheap the proshop boy even told me to return it if I wanted but I decided to keep it as this deal was too good to pass. I have never owned a buggy before this one and it still works ! Great deal here.........
