    Howdy all,
    Just a quick intro.
    I'm a golf tragic who just moved back to Aus after a couple of years overseas. Just moved to Cairns and looking to join a club up here.
    While OS managed to finally get my hcap down to single digits! Looking forward to the much more affordable golf here in Aus.

    Think I might have met you in the local Drummonds the other week...

    Mate, join Cairns GC things are not as bad as people want to make out & you can happily enjoy your golf there and avoid whatever BS might be occurring at any given time. In my experience (a shiteload of clubs all around Aust), all clubs have their idiots, egotists & on occasion, board members who seem to have making their mark as their prime interest.... It's swings and roundabouts... CGC will survive.. this board should be voted out next month anyways...

    You can play their and enjoy mate, like most of us do...

    Thanks all for the welcome. Matty, was playing at a course called Storey Creek in Canada. Great course and playable almost all year round which is a bit rare over there.

    Welcome Hippo! Been a few years since leaving FNQ but Cairns is a good club. But then again any round in 30 heat followed by a generous amount of beers is good anywhere. Have fun keep it on the short stuff!!!!
