I'm not sure if anyone keeps a watch on this sort of thing, but I was sent a GL number today that shows an alarming "drift" from low to anchor in 77 days ( 5 full shots in 19 rounds !!!).

Would that be a record for hitting the anchor?

The handicapping change wasn’t designed to be cheat proof, it was designed along the participation medal route.

19 games in 77 days is a lot, is the suspicion they didn’t actually play or they played 3 times a week badly on purpose?

The whole game isn’t designed to be cheat proof

Phew, not me. I only went back 4.6 in 100 days.
At worst, it was a 4.3 blowout in 12 games over 60 days.

New club, a less manicured course (but lower slope), strong winds, pissed off at work, requests from mates to rejoin old club, etc.
Fixed with iron fitting, lessons and a realisation that the wind affects the ball flight.

btw. 19 games in 77 days is about average for a club golfer playing twice a week.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

I moved out by 3.5 in less than 40 days (12 rounds) at the start of the year. It took me another 30 rounds and about 4 months to get back down to where I started.
