    Default Hi from adelaide!

Hi guys im Matt, 32 yrs old from adelaide, new to forum but been playing golf on and off for the last 8 years. Had a 2 year layoff where i didnt even look at my clubs (2 small kids and working too many days a week). I play with a social club and only get out once a month which i find isnt enough to really develop good muscle memory for that picture perfect swing .
Anyways i have now convinced work they were to busy and they need to employ someone else and that 3 12 hour shifts would be most beneficial to production! So now im only working wed/thur/fri leaving me more time for my other hobbies! I intend on joining a course south of Adelaide so any recommendations would be more than welcome. Thanks, regards Matt

    Welcome Matt.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    Welcome Matt,
Plenty of great golf to be had in SA? The more you play the more the Mrs and kids will just expect you to be out playing and there is nothing wrong with that.

Its funny you should mention Gary, my older sister was really good friends with his sister when we were younger. Not sure what he is doing now but he sure can hit a ball!

Gary still calls in occasionally. I once had a round with a mate and Gary at Kooyonga, was a good experience just watching what he was doing to be honest! (he was on the PGA tour then)

Don't go there Matt, there's a serious 'bandit' with a dodgy handicap that keeps getting the likes of 46 points in the comps ............................... ! (BTW HB, did you win the comp last Saturday?)

I hear ya! My R100 has been sidelined for a couple of years now while we finish the house. Luckly golf clubs are cheap and i can hide those purchases from the missus!
