I guess I already have the before up, but I'll try to get a couple of photos in the morning. I'll probably miss most of the during though.

They started at 7a, and are expected to be finished by 4pm, unless there is rain. I work close to home, so it was easy to pop in to discuss the proposed layout above during work. There are two main pieces, which you can see them gluing together. It will be the fringe parts that might take some time.

Andy, did you follow my mock-up, did you put a little swale in?

The installer finished up at 3pm today and will be back in the morning to do a couple of things to finish it off. At the moment it is a sanded green that rolls slowly. I think I've already conquered it though.

Titty, the level of the green is a little bit above the cups at the moment. With the grass being tucked into the cups, it makes the cups play larger than what they would normally because if it gets near the edge, it will drop in. Would I expect this to settle down to play like a normal cup?

I let the installer decide what to do in the end and forgot about the swale. It falls away a bit towards the cup near the water heater.

Gee, you're really serious about retaining the Vic Champs mini-golf title, aren't you?
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

I have approval from the Minister for Finance and Recreation to erect a green in the bottom paddock. I am looking to do some chipping and putting practice, what is the general consensus from the guys that have done this?

    Artificial or real?

    All these greens look sensational

From memory L4G, artificial is the way to go. Real greens are expensive and time consuming. Get a big green and a 60m area like at kooindah and I'll come up and practice!

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1408247534.731611.jpgThe big downpour yesterday has helped it settle down. The edge of the holes aren't sharp enough for my liking, but maybe that will settle.

He will come back in a few weeks to check on things and add more sand, if needed.

Not that great at the moment. It is quite inconsistent, but the more I use it the more it is meant to bed down.

I'm not an early adopter of the big cup that people have been talking about.
