Ghostbusters - you know which of them I mean. It's an example of why sometimes a remake is not a good idea, and it's a perfect example of why a remake of a classic can be a horrible idea.

Kids are loving it, but at least daughter says the original is better. And I expect kids will think it's great. I think the preview of this on youtube is/was the most 'thumbs downed' movie preview in youtube's history. There must be worse movies out there, but just the sentiment from lovers of the original I would guess.

Some things you just don't touch.

    And GB was truly horrible!

Doom was awesome. First played it on a mono monitor. Made it a bit tougher at times.

Sorry, I was still talking about the new Ghostbusters movie. Everyone else in the house felt I was being harsh. I thought I was being too kind. It didn't have the quirks and the seriously funny moments of the original, and of course referenced the original time and time again which made it even worse!

Oh I've seen it! Thought it was so bad that it didn't even deserve a mention here, just on the off chance it might encourage someone to see just how bad it is. I couldn't have done that to someone!

Going back a bit, but Nothing But Trouble (1991) was up there with the worst movies I'd seen. You'd think with Dan Ackroyd, John Candy, Chevy Chase and Demi Moore that something would be watchable, but not this one. Horrendous.

The Lobster. In some dystopian future, people who are not in a 'relationship' are sent to a 'hotel' where they have to find a partner within 40 days or they get transformed into an animal - of their choosing (the main - played by Colin Farrell - chooses a lobster - apparently a very good choice). People who can't/won't find partners (usually escapees of the 'hotel'), roam the forests wearing anoraks and are hunted down by the residents of the 'hotel'. For every successful hunt, a resident gets another day at the hotel to try to form a relationship and thereby avoid being transformed into an animal.

The ending of the movie does not leave you with nice thoughts.

It's supposed to be a dead-pan comedy and probably some kind of high brow comment on modern society but I simply found it dull, stupid and disturbing.

Was in need of something to watch for a distraction from what’s going on in my life. Saw “The Little Things” in the recent top 10 on Netflix.

Can’t believe that Denzil Washington could be in such a crap movie. It just meandered on with no real purpose.
Interested if anyone else shares the same view on its steaming pile rating or it was just my lack of attention/focus to being in a bad head space.

After watching it, I said to my wife “That would have been a much better movie if something happened.”

I was hopeful after realising Denzel was in it, but it was really disappointing. They just needed to let Denzel cut loose.

Red Notice . . awful... in fact anything with Ryan Reynolds not being Deadpool is woeful.
Fast 9 - just stop making this movie.

Same here, an inoffensive way to pass some time.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I hear what you are saying - but the story just wasnt fun and the way it went from scene to scene was just silly. Even the opening bit where the Rock and a swat team magically show up at his house on the island... i just find it hard to get into films that have no cleverness in them.

9 underground or 9 undercover or whatever was the same - just that stupid Michael Bay like nonsense with no charm or soul.

Loved the Matrix, but the story ended after 3. Likewise with Terminator, havent seen any after T2. I dont mind reboots, prequels etc, but this reminds me of Dallas writing off an entire season as a dream.

Caught the 4th Matrix film over the weekend on Netflix.
I really liked the first 3 and was able to follow and understand the story line. This one however was confusing. Not enjoyable and a big steaming pile of do do.

Yep, I'm actually not sure if I've seen it all yet! I've watched it twice, but I'm sure I slept through part both times. I can't really remember any of the plot.
A massive fan of the first, and the 2nd and 3rd were good (but not up to what the first was). The foyer and helicopter scenes are still what I use when testing out a home theatre setup (though wouldn't show off Atmos as well, granted I don't have that).
