Similar thing had happened at the RACV Club in Healesville last time I was down there. They lost 11 greens, not sure the status of them now as Covid stopped me getting back down there.

    It seems to be common-ish.

Murrumbidgee lost 9 greens last summer. I played there Monday, and the new ones are rubbish and lumpy.

Even with RM resources, its a nasty 12 month mistake - and will cost a fair bit in lost revenue, as its hard to charge $750 to an international visitor for temp greens.

plus the added member traffic to the East course will put a strain on the conditioning.

Might give RM a miss for a few years me thinks

Same happened at Burleigh heads few years ago.. lost all the greens.

Any idiot could make the same mistake. I sprayed my entire lawn with Weed'n Feed only to realise about 1 week later i have grabbed the roundup bottle instead.

Didnt do a thing about it and the lawn grew back better than ever. I might offer my services to RM

you guys realize what they can achieve in a pretty short amount of time? they are hardly going to miss any revenue.

Within 2 weeks from now they will have finished the turfing and will be reopened not long after being perfectly perfectly playable.

No disrespect to Burleigh or Murrumbidgee but i wouldn't be comparing the knowledge, experience and overall resources with any other course world wide, yet a simple error still was made.

If anyone has a turf farm capable of resewing 8 greens, it would be RM

They’re farming Sandringham. Good thing they let them use the Suttons Mix!

HandyAlso noticed an area north of 11, and there are two greens left of 18 that could be sacrificed

and as Mr W said the whole of the short game and the 19th areas, it will only be the practice putter at sandy that will be "donated"

They are just seeing the effects of the fusilade now
