Excellent, picking mine up next week. As usual, if I'd waited I could have got the one off ptp.

I bought a versa 2 ball at the same time, did a little carpet putting with it, but I can't see it going in my bag with DLL firmly in the bag.

I found one of those things when I was a kid and my cousin and I filled it up with red wine and used it to get drunk. Mum couldn't smell the alcohol on our breath then.

I never expected to say anything good about TM.
I think the Lethals are a bit less durable than the Pentas but there wouldn't be much in it. They are a slightly nicer colour than the Pentas IMO and have a nicer feel. Just ever so slightly softer feeling off both the putter and driver but still go just as far.

I switched from Z Stars to Lethals a few months ago and haven't looked back, they are my ball of choice now too. $40/doz is probably at the top end of what I'd pay for balls, since I like to use a brand new one every round, I am hoping Taylor Made do the second box half price deal again so I can stock up before I run out.

Well blow me down this combo is incredible, I went in expecting stuff all and this thing goes miles and straight.

When have you been pleasantly surprised by equipment that you originally had pegged as ordinary
We could probably sustain a separate thread just on shafts that favorably surprise. I agree re the Prolaunch Red, Nunchuk and D+. They have worked well for me in all the heads I have matched them with. I have not tried any of the Attas as yet, but keeping an eye out for one to try.
Personally I would add the Aldila NV, Voodoos and Trinitys to the list, along with the V2 and the Speeder 757. And new ones for me that have turned out to be bargain buys are the Rombax X and W Series. I have tried a 6x07 and a 6w06 with good success so far.

The A7s were seriously good hybrids. I don't know why I sold mine.

    R1 Black
Tried with 2 shafts so far, Matrix HD6 & Ilima 60 x5ct and pleasantly surprised.
Really like the look at setup and address.
Few more shafts to try (AD Di, Fubuki, Voodoo) but can see myself persevering with this one...
