Default Equipment that pleasantly surprised you

I recently bought an Attas T3 shaft for my 3wd from Ferrins to match my driver, as the Attas T3 (from Jamie) in my driver and I are BFF's.

I had a round on Saturday and Sunday booked at Moonah Links (weekend just passed), and didn't have a 3wd shafted up. So I grabbed the Sonartec head I had sitting around and shafted it with a Tour Spec Speeder (older low end model) I also had sitting around.

Well blow me down this combo is incredible, I went in expecting stuff all and this thing goes miles and straight.

I nabbed a Wishon 949mc 4 wood head years ago and built it at 3 wood length. There was a lot of love on the component lusting sites but i didn't expect much at all. I killed that thing long and straight for near on a year, it was blistering. It was going farther than the TEE 3 wood of the time and was far easier to hit. People used to come over and grab it out of my hands, size it up and somehow read "Wilson" LOL. Others when you announced what it was would try to correct you into "Wilson".

I sold it to my closest golf mate and he still has it. He kills it and barely misses a shot for the first 6 months. He had an old Tight Lies he used to use on par 5's. I can honestly say he picked up 25 (comfortably) dead straight meters and dropped 2 or 3 shots all based around suddenly owning the par 5's.

Proforce Gold Shaft. I had a V2 reg in the VSteel 5 Wood and I didn't really get great results with it. I was a Virge's place and a chance chat to him, he had a Proforce gold lying around so we shafted it up. Who what a difference, it's now my best club in my bag!!

Scotty Cameron putter grips. I can really see the added value.

    &

RBZ TP drivers... They really are surprising. TM is crap.

Fat ****s who are too lazy to walk.
    The old and or injured.
Courses where you have to walk bloody ages between tees and greens.

You missed one - In QLD, ***** - Windaroo has a very strong and loyal brigade that aren't fat ( they are *****, they don't get fat), aren't old or injured ( hard to tell, but don't appear to be old) and the tee boxes are
    close by. :

Wilson Killer Whale driver. Most Beautiful sounding driver I have ever hit. No idea why 69 gave it away.

I think my thought process was along the lines of " I might buy a cart, that should annoy someone on ozgolf, as I am not fat, old or injured."

Can you not use the term Asian anymore? What do you call someone from Asia?

Are they? I don't think so. I thought they fit in quite well with the fat ****s comment by meh. I guess the irony is lost on some.

It was a serious question. I think I have played mackay, was pretty flat from memory. If it was to avoid the plovers I completely understand.

Asian courses are predominantly carts only so for them that's just how golf is played.

Pisshead Bogans that play in caarts are really annoying.

The serious question should be why do you refer to larger people as fat ****s!

I was pleasantly surprised by my Cleveland Hibore 19* fairway... usually can't hit fairway woods at all but this one seems to suit.
