F**k it, I'm doing it wrong

Last year was a crap year. This year has been no different. Still playing crap but some how I'm 0.3 lower atm than at the start of the year.
8 games away from home this year with 7 of them in the last 20 and 4 of them flags . 2 of them are my lowest played to's.
only 2 rounds under 80 OTS in last 20 at home. Need to play more at home to get to anchor by the looks of the record.

im getting closer each round. Hopefully some good rounds at the new course will get me going the other way, but it'll need to be 4 or 5 in a row to stop throwing the anchor chain out at 8.3 which should give me a handicap of 9

Doing it very wrong some how. Another home round over 80 (32pts) and another flag lowering the GA more since the above post.
Only 2 rounds since Feb 36pts or more. This getting to anchor sh!t is hard work

You'll never get close to your anchor by shooting 36 point rounds. I went 18 months with hardly a score over 30 points. It wasn't fun at all, but under this system your cap blows out very quickly when you do it. When I see you in November I'll depress you by telling you all about it. Come to think of it, those dark days returned a bit at Lady Bay last year.

The good news for all anchor dwellers is that sometimes you can escape the doldrums and your game comes back. I'm now on a 5 point lower cap than I was when I was anchored. I'm still not very good when playing away from home on hard courses though. Maybe part of the secret is to play some easy courses and get a bit of confidence back.

Or play the vets days when the tees are in front of the ladies and your marker will right down whatever you tell them.

    Totally wrong, Ferret.

Those are the days when the DCR is 67 and you need 40 points to win a ball. You have to play against the 36 markers who can still chip and putt, but can't hit over water hazards. So your hard earned 37 points doesn't even get you a flag round.

    Best of both worlds.
You can feel ok on that your playing alright (36-38pts) but go out on the way to anchor due to low DSRs.

It's worse when you know your hitting it crap and playing crap but hcp is not moving out due to high DSRs. That's where I'm at.

Finally got it going the right way.
0.4 gain on the weekend. Best flag gone in the next 2 rounds for a big gain hopefully .
Can't see a good one spoiling that as swing is so dis-jointed atm.

0.3 lost on saturday after that wonderful display of driving. Another 0.3 lost today. Drop off a low flag again for the next round.

S.A Champs put a heap of chain links to throw out the anchor.
Next round of played to 3.6 to be replaced with a 10.6. This could be my first double digit flag

I'm 1.9 shots off my anchor. 5 non-flagged rounds and I hit it - I think they all would need to be worse than played to 24.4
