Gave myself a golden opportunity to get off my anchor this morning after starting with 4 x 3 pointers but then went back to my usual shit and finished with 34 points.

Now out to 16, one off the anchor. I started with 18 points on the front and then crashed and burned for 10 points on the back (this included 3 Pars, 2 bogies and 4 wipes)
Man I am crap at the moment

The more posts in this thread, the more confident I am that the Champs winner will have recorded themselves as being anchored at one time or another...

Yep, there is a disturbing amount of people heading towards (or already on) their anchors.

Don't be too alarmed boys, everyone is coming out of the most difficult time to play golf. As the fairways firm up, and my thin miss starts running onto greens again, I will be back shooting square before you know it. Hopefully around the November 15th.

Please don't ever use the words sloppy, balls & benno in the same paragraph ever again.

You'll be worthy of winning a club prize though, something I'll have no chance in hell of doing over summer now!

You have to play comps for the handicap to go out, so I can't see an anchor in my near future.

I think you just need more rounds at cabra and I need more rounds at Kogarah, as we seem to play well at each other's home tracks......

I like your thinking Dotty... More likely that he sleeps better in Winter. I'd imagine the tiles are a little cool in the Portland area in the winter months, which promotes actually sleeping in a bed. Amazing what a good nights rest can do.

I am out to 5.5 and feel like what waddzy is referring to above. Highest handicap in 32 years of playing golf.
