Lynwood has recruited a great team with Course Super (Pres. NSWGCSA), GM (Cpt. GMANSW) and as of two weeks ago new Pro Shop manager. Club is still in recovery from transition and is making sound progress. Awesome Course layout , superb condition and best practice facilities in Sydney. Still best value membership under $1,300 with no joining fee.

Why can't I remember this good sort you speak of? Maybe I'd left. Worth a trip to Rouse Hill shops?

Wouldn't mind saying hello to them. I bumped into Ken somewhere. Said the coffee shop was going really well, which surprised them. Good on 'em.

Funny thing is though, the members at the time either liked them in the pro shop or they didn't. There was no middle ground.
I knew a lot of people that joined up when it first opened, and the major problem they had with them was the way the comps we're run.

For the record, I've never been a member there, but played there a fair bit and i never had a drama out there. But then again i wasnt there every week, so never witnessed the weekly running's of it all.

I remember paying $30-40 to play in a comp ages ago with some mates. One of the boys won A Grade & got a voucher for the grand total of $6.60, some crap about the comp fees being split into percentages & that was A Grades cut. Should've at least got your comp fee back in a voucher. It's $40 for a visitor to play in a comp now which is about $15 too much

You assume correctly. A member asked me to join and respond to any queries about Lynwood. There are always lots of rumours in clubland. If anyone has any queries I am happy to respond accordingly.

Thanks BPE, I have always enjoyed playing there and with the turmoil at Richmond over the last year I am keen on looking else where particularly as I'm not overly excited about where our money is going.

With that in mind I'm aware that you have successfully lured some very good resources with the new GM etc but I'm also aware that the club has been trading at a substantial loss over the past few years. As a few post ago state I am aware there is no joing fee so the risk is low but am also very aware that when the company/ club goes into administration the debitors are often left wanting which I ideally want to avoid.

    You don't enjoy Richmond RQ?

    What about windsor?
Richmond, still, is not trading great but has certainly ( I hope) turned a corner. While we still keep the board that sent us to the wall employed, I will not continue to put my support behind the club!

I do enjoy Richmond for the most part but am keen to pay better money for a better courser ( IMO). The layout of Windsor doesn't float my boat.

No company/organisation is going to give you an honest answer if running on life support and may shut up shop any day soon. It's a chance you have to take.

    Can you pay monthly?

I liked being able to get a B&E roll before my round from the guys running the BBQ, very nice

I'm not a fan of the layout especially considering they had a blank canvass. There was a bit of a sameness with some of the par 4's, by I did enjoy the par 3's. I do agree that the practice facilities are good, they are just too far away from the club house.

    Binh,
Is that because you play like shit when you go there?
