    Whats New
    see red text below.

    What's coming(maybe)
a web form to submit the scoresm to make it easier for me
a change in the prizemoney spread, to more fairly reward higher placings in larger events.

    How it works

    1. Prizemoney is based on the size of the round and a standard 18 hole round. You win $1000 for handing in a score, plus $1000 for every player you beat. The event winner gets a 50% bonus. Ties are split. Nett scores only. $0 for an NCR. Only Bona Fide Ozgolf.net registered members are eligible and counted for the prize pool.

    eg. 4 in the field.
    1st $6000 (4000+2000)
    2nd $3000
    3rd $2000
    4th $1000

    2. An Ozgolf day is defined as an event that is posted to the 1st Tee forum with an open invitation for everybody to join in, and where typically one person handles all the bookings

    3. Scores are taken from 1st tee forum at Ozgolf.net only. Oneperson at each golf day needs to record the nett scores and the Ozgolf nicknames, and the ACR or CCR for the day. List scores in order.

    3a. Use exact Ozgolf nicknames.

    4. No limit to number of games or course played. Minimum field for an Ozgolf day is 2 Ozgolf.net website members.

    5. To be eligible for the Player of the Year award the Ozgolfer must have purchased an Ozgolf Shirt or made a donation to the Ozgolf website/community. Ineligible players may be marked with *

    6. The year concludes with the Annual Ozgolf Championships or the 31st December whichever occurs first.

    7. In the event of a Tie, a countback will apply, by counting the number of 1st places, If still a tie, 2nd places, and so on. If tie cannot be seperated a joint award will be made.

    FAQ
    Whats a Bona Fide Ozgolfer?
Someone that is (or will be) a regular contributor or someone that we all know and love.
eg Brad White is, my boofhead mate who i registered and doesnt post isnt.

Who decides who is a Bona Fide Ozgolfer or what is an Official Ozgolf day.
You do - your on your honour.

Where do i get the ACR or CCR from and Why?
Some one is going to do a Vardon, and just look at the scorecard or golf link.

Why only count Ozgolfers, guests were included last year?
Was too hard to work out if Mike or Jim or Mark was an ozgolfer or not.

Why do we have to use Ozgolf Nicknames, everyone knows who Jim, Pete , Dave and Mark is?
There is at least two Jim's two Petes, two Dave's and four Mark's, how hard do you wanna make it for me.

    Any questions, arguements, suggestions?

Nice FAQ. I had a couple of other questions lined up, but they were answered.

Is it an OZgolf day if an invitation is extended to the forum, but there is only one spot available?

Agreed, if it is a genuine invitation.  Just checking on the ruling.

This thread is now a sticky, and I'll return the 2005 thread to normal. Vegas has had his time in the sun.

i don't think that counts i'm in the same boat as i play a few games with Gaz at our home course, yet no other regular Ozgolfers are in attendance (most of the time)

It DOES count if you and your other mystery Ozgolfer start a thread in the 1st tee section and invite fellow Ozgolfers to play

Jaster and I had played plenty of golf together over the last 2 years, but never included it as no other players would be able to attend.

This is the brainchild of Vegas, and Courty was going to execute it. Not sure where it is at right now...

No, it's stuffed. But Blakey probably hasn't done any 2006 stuff yet.

I will be pacing myself, pehaps 1 per month.

Being a part time golfer is new to me. I plan to have fun a try and slide that handicap out.

Pete needs an extra $1,500 in prize money for Caboolture on 2/1/06.
If the prize money is split as per the rules below, we had 7 players. Pete beat 6 of us meaning he gets 1000 (for his card) + 6000 (for the 6 of us he beat) = 7000 + 50% bonus = $10,500.

Go wild Pete! Don't spend it all at once.

How is the POTY $ list going now?
