Default WA Champs - Gavin Simms Memorial Cup 2013 - Official Thread

    Hi Guys/Girls/Shemales

I am away for a few weeks in June and it’s time to start looking at getting numbers and confirmations for the greatest Champs of them all.

    Date: October 18/19/20 2013

Accommodation - Mandurah Holiday Village. I have 4 Villas (sleep up to 4) Booked.

    Golf
Please Refer to this Link for Friday golf Details.
    http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/36884-WA-Champs-Friday-Golf-(North-vs-South)

This is at Kwinana Golf Club @ 8am

Friday Arvo Skins - Mandurah Golf Club Golf Club. Tee off 3.30 PM Price: $20 or 9 holes.

Saturday Champs Round - Secret Harbour Golf Links -$78.50 with Cart and Lunch. 5 Groups teeing off at 8am. We can enter the PGN comp at this stage if you would like (optional ). This is a really nice course but it’s also public and will be in for a slow day, so please be patient guys. We will make presentations over dinner so the first groups are not hanging around all afternoon.

Sunday Champs Round - Meadow Springs Country Club - $59 or $79 with Cart. 5 Groups teeing off at 8am. It is early but we beat the rush of the members between 11.45 and 1pm. also allows us to get going a bit earlier and perhaps hang around for presentations as people want to get moving back to their families.

Groups will be seeded this year, so if you want a sleep in, play well Saturday

Both Champs Courses are highly rated and should be a good test with a variety of golf needing to be played.

All Up with both champs rounds and 2 nights accommodation it should come to $217.50 with no carts at Meadow Springs. (Carts are recommended at SH). No prepayment required for the Golf courses (I will require to pay SH on the day, so I will be asking for cash leading up to it). Prize donation will be $25 again.

At this moment, I will need one Nights payment for Mandurah Village ($40) to secure your place, with the rest of the money TBD Later. Will PM Bank Details when I get your interest in this thread. I realise things may change from now to October, but please put your name down and we’ll refund any cash should you have to pull out.

Friday Night – We will probably head into Mandurah and secure a booking at a number of options along the foreshore. Pretty easy walk.

Saturday Night – I think Pizza will be the go again, but will require probably $10 from everyone this year, rather than relying of MegaWatty’s generosity.

Would be great to get some new Wankers to the champs as well as some more Easties making the trip across. Honestly us Wankers don’t bite and I think those that travelled agreed it was a good time had by all.

    Saturday Groupings

Rubin "I've played Meadow Springs heaps, it's basically my home track".
Ashes "So what distance are the white markers?"
Rubin "100m. You're about 120m out from there".
After I go nowhere near reaching the green with an 8 iron, Rubin suggests the whites must be 150m, not 100m.

    ------

Rubin "It's about 260m carry over that bunker if you want to take that line"
I'd struggle to carry 180m on a good day.

    -------

I tried out Rubins 3 wood/nunchuck combo. Hit it pretty well but never got it more than 1m off the ground.
Rubin "You probably need a higher launching head".
    No shit.

    --------

Shorty asks if there's any trouble near the green on the 12th.
Rubin (remembering this is virtually his home track) "Nah mate, no bunkers or anything around that green".
Shorty hits a good shot, just missing the green. Walks up to discover his ball, you guessed it, in a greenside bunker.

    ---------

Rubin "Driver is definitely the play on this hole".
After hitting my driver into the shit, I watch as Rubin pulls out his hybrid..
But the middle of the fairway was a great call that can't be disputed.

I wouldn't know, I only found the middle of the fairway once, and that was on the first where it was wasted by Rubin telling me I was 55m closer to the hole than I actually was.

I'll give u the first - my mistake on that one, but I have never used the course markers as I've had the range finder.

The hybrid u missed a few comments prior and afterwards, but as I said to Shaun - don't blame me for hitting the ball like crap (and as u striped your provi up the middle, it turns out it was the play for you).

    That's easy... Me.

Don't be too hard on yourself Duff. You only shook like a leaf for the first 9.

You abused yourself relentlessly the rest of the way.

Yea I guess, I only wore mine for 5 minutes each day. Just long enough to change out of them and then into the PRIDE and MAXIPAD ones.
