I regret having a hole in one yesterday Seriously. had my best round going in 2 years, and by acing the 5th, my 14th hole took me to 5 under then immediately lost 4 of them in the next 3 holes. Thats the biggest choke if my life.

My mental game had been great up to that point and i lost the plot. Something new to learn I guess.

    Congratulations on the ace.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Well done on the ace, not having had one I assume it’s a pretty hard thing to just brush off & keep concentration on an even keel so you shouldn’t be to hard on yourself

Finally, after 40.5 years of trying ... 9th hole 140-something metres.

And to conform to the retiree stereotype, it was a 23* 7 wood and I didn't pay the $2 to go in super-pin.

Thanks, and don't feel too sorry, as going for the pin most rounds was costing me a ball in the hazard.

Now, I just aim at the petting zoo at the back left, and hope for a fade.

    Love this! Congrats Dotty.

Yet more proof that 7 woods are for flushers only.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
