I searched a lot of places online and couldn't find anything. So I went to mister minit here in Mackay and he recommended a shop in Mackay called "a little country". The guy who owns it is a craftsman and imports the leather from Italy and it is the type of leather that is dyed all the way through. So he says it will last forever, unlike the Chinese belts which split and look like crap after a short while. He put fixed clips on it as well, as they are less bulky and look better.

Cheers! It took a bloody long time; and its lasted about 10 rounds now without a single chip to the paint full so I'm pretty happy.

It was an experiment - so I used regular craft paint, but sealed it with clear nail polish. Its turned out great.

Originally I wanted to a pastel coloured theme, but couldn't find the colours.

I have a Scotty Cameron Newport TeI3 that I wouldnt mind seeing re-done...

    face-sole.jpg

    ^ that model...

Has been gathering dust for 10+ years (read: gathering rust), seems a shame to let it wither and die...

Anyone want to have a crack at it? - I'd compensate you for your time, or if you liked it enough once you're done you could compensate me for the putter

Well the grip was dry, but of course there was ONE MORE thing I wanted to try. So I did. At some stupid hour of the morning. It's a good think I'm a night owl!

Fingers crossed it actually looks ok!

Thanks BITS, I think it is a little far for me to drop in and get him to make me a belt.

If you want basic colours, I have been using Enamel Car paint I buy at SuperCheap for $5 a tin. I finish off with a coat of clear gloss that they also sell. I mainly redo club sole lettering and seems pretty hardy so far. I have used nail polish also, but it doesn't seem to last.

So, I think I've finally finished my GoLo aka uni procrastination. I didn't have a picture of what I wanted when I started this, only that I wanted the sight line white. So if you're changing one thing, you change them all. Maybe still a layer of clear to go.
