    Default Ozgolf punters club

I thought this may be a good idea, seeing as there is a lot of interest in sports and horse betting. I am happy to run it.

    Rules:

    1. A once off payment of $100 secures you a share in the club. (payment to be made to titleist via whatever currency he takes)

    2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.

    3. We will be using a sporting bet account and everyone will have access to the login to see bets made, balance etc.

    4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again the next week. i.e for a $100 outlay, minimum of $200 collect required to bet again.

    5. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted, hopefully around QLD champs.

    Punters so far :

    1. BITS (Paid)
    2. Courty (Paid)
    3. Ben Tullipan QAGA (Paid with $400 worth of vouchers)
    4. Titleist (Paid)
    5. PeteyD (Paid)
    6. Eag's (Paid)
    7. sundayHack (Paid)
    8. popper81 (Paid)
    9. PerryGroves (Paid)
    10. Minor_Threat (Paid)
    11. Haystacks (Paid)
    12. LeftyHoges (Paid)
    13. Lobsta (Paid)
    14. Xray (Paid)
    15. Daves (Paid)
    16. Waddzy (Paid)
    17. Brokar (Paid)
    18. Marto65 (Paid)
    19. Grunt (Paid)

    Betting order:

    Random Sequence Generator

    Here is your sequence:

    9 PerryGroves
    16 Waddzy
    3 Ben Tullipan
    1 BITS
    10 Minor_Threat
    5 PeteyD
    4 Titty
    12 LeftyHoges
    6 Eag's
    2 Courty
    11 Haystacks
    17 Brokar
    15 Daves
    7 SundayHack
    8 popper81
    14 Xray
    13 Lobsta
    18 Grunt
    19 Marto65

Spreadsheet to keep track of things is here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwR3...it?usp=sharing

    Free iOS app available here.

Ok, back on a PC and have updated the spreadsheet. It shows $1836, but there is $1865 in the account due to free bets and refunds. Not a big deal really.

After everyone has punted and QAGA and ozgolf have been paid, we are left with $90 for each punter. For those leaving, Titty will pay you.

Here is the list of who wants to leave. Anyone else that wants in, the share is $90, as it's too much of a pain the arse to get another $10 off everyone.

    Staying for Punter's Club MkII:

    Bits
    Titleist
    Daves
    Popper81
    Lobsta
    Brokar
    PerryGroves
    XRay
    Courty
    Eags
    LeftyHoges
    Grunt
    Waddzy
    SundayHack
    Haystacks
    Marto65
    PeteyD

    Leaving:

    Minor threat
    Ben tullipan

The original idea in BITS rules was to go again if you doubled your cash, good idea.

With my series of bets I have managed to secure $13 per punter in the club, whilst a positive start, I have already dusted my winnings this morning on bridge toll, a paper and breakfast.

In the other PC I am in, after you double your money, you bet half the winnings the following week + your original stake. In my case, $65 in the tin and I would be betting $165 next week. This has been mildly successful with one bloke running strong for 6-8 weeks, his last bet was $3000 (after starting with $100).

For mine, this is a bit aggressive, I would propose for punters who double their stake: Week 2, bet the $100 again (as per the rules) however in week 3 if the punter is still rolling we up the ante as per the above.

Everyone has a different relationship to punting/money and I don't really know you guys that well, feel free to ignore and we continue as is.

I have always been a fan of a riding your winnings and cut your losses betting strategy i.e. once you are on a streak (say a couple of weeks) then increase your bets above the normal (I usually double them). Once the winning streak fails, back to normal bet sizes. I also like to "bank" (quarantine) winnings above my original stake, nothing like "playing" with your winnings rather than your own funds, but that is not really relevant in this case.

Absolutely PG, if you're good enough to get to week 3 then you deserve the extra cash to splash.

I am happy for however it goes. I do like the concept of increasing the stakes using some of the winnings.

    I agree.
Maybe say if you get to 3 week run, up it.
Remember we've basically got $400 credit from Ben to play with and also we should get a matched first bet from TW, which ill track down today.

How did we go with the Matched bet? or was our first bet not a winning one?

Waddzy, think there was an option to use the matched bet which I didn't click so it should still be there.

Watched the EPL highlights last night, can't believe Swansea didn't score against Southampton, would have been a great collect with Louis "The Great White Shark" Suarez scoring against Chelski in the dying minutes to get a draw.

Trying to think with the head not the heart so will avoid putting Manly into any bets this week.

Oh nice PG , hopefully it goes on something that comes up the goods, I honestly thought your union multi would get there.. cant believe the cheetahs got up and the reds just waited too long to get into the game.
