Ozgolf punters club

I thought this may be a good idea, seeing as there is a lot of interest in sports and horse betting. I am happy to run it.

Rules:

1. A once off payment of $100 secures you a share in the club. (payment to be made to titleist via whatever currency he takes)

2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.

3. We will be using a sporting bet account and everyone will have access to the login to see bets made, balance etc.

4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again the next week. i.e for a $100 outlay, minimum of $200 collect required to bet again.

5. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted, hopefully around QLD champs.

Ok, back on a PC and have updated the spreadsheet. It shows $1836, but there is $1865 in the account due to free bets and refunds. Not a big deal really.

After everyone has punted and QAGA and ozgolf have been paid, we are left with $90 for each punter. For those leaving, Titty will pay you.

Here is the list of who wants to leave. Anyone else that wants in, the share is $90, as it's too much of a pain the arse to get another $10 off everyone.

So we are about $250 up so far. Best thing is we will still be at least $250 up after this week! Wish me luck ...

We are about $50 down overall. Not sure where you got $250 up from?

Everyone spends $100. To me up is anything above and beyond that. Basically money that won't be accessed for future gambling, so $132 + $10 + $90 = $232 ... or at least that is how I look at it. So if everyone from no one loses that is what we have left.

Alternatively we have had $600 go out and have had 232, 110, 10 and 190 come back in for a net -60 position, which is where you are coming from. But for this you are counting future funds for betting which could come out net $0.

Just don't count the initial money in. Only count what is up to distribute at the end. Count the profit.

Start with 1900 (ignoring the $400 extra stuff not sure how that works?). Take that off the balance and we have $240 as profit, untouchable, to distribute.

That was from Ben (QAGA) so hopefully we get a little extra to give back to the association....we'll sort it out in the end!

We had 19 punters originally, who each put in $100, minus Ben Tullipan who donated $400 in vouchers. So 18 x $100 = $1800 and $400 in vouchers equals $2200. We are still awaiting one payment of $100 too.

At the end we will be giving a donation of $200 to the Leon Treadwell fund and $200 to QAGA. The rest will be divvied up amongst the punters.

The way you are looking at it, yes we are up $550 and have bet $600, so $50 down on what we originally started with, so all is good.

Yes we will have $2200 in the account, minus $1900 in bets, so at least $300 will be in at the end, plus our $550 we have won already. Out of that $200 to Leon fund and $200 to QAGA.

Ok after riding my luck on the sharkies I have added a multi bet on the AFL which I know SFA about.

$10 on Richmond + 26.5, GC + 56.5, Freo, Syd - 13.5 at $14.35.

I was tempted to have a little on Titleists MILs horse for a place, but it looks like those odds have come right in.
