Ozgolf punters club
I thought this may be a good idea, seeing as there is a lot of interest in sports and horse betting. I am happy to run it.
Rules:
1. A once off payment of $100 secures you a share in the club. (payment to be made to titleist via whatever currency he takes)
2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.
3. We will be using a sporting bet account and everyone will have access to the login to see bets made, balance etc.
4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again the next week. i.e for a $100 outlay, minimum of $200 collect required to bet again.
5. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted, hopefully around QLD champs.
Punters so far :
1. BITS (Paid)
2. Courty (Paid)
3. Ben Tullipan QAGA (Paid with $400 worth of vouchers)
4. Titleist (Paid)
5. PeteyD (Paid)
6. Eag's (Paid)
7. sundayHack (Paid)
8. popper81 (Paid)
9. PerryGroves (Paid)
10. Minor_Threat (Paid)
11. Haystacks (Paid)
12. LeftyHoges (Paid)
13. Lobsta (Paid)
14. Xray (Paid)
15. Daves (Paid)
16. Waddzy (Paid)
17. Brokar (Paid)
18. Marto65 (Paid)
19. Grunt (Paid)
Betting order:

Spreadsheet to keep track of things is here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwR3...it?usp=sharing
Free iOS app available here.
Ok, back on a PC and have updated the spreadsheet. It shows $1836, but there is $1865 in the account due to free bets and refunds. Not a big deal really.
After everyone has punted and QAGA and ozgolf have been paid, we are left with $90 for each punter. For those leaving, Titty will pay you.
Here is the list of who wants to leave. Anyone else that wants in, the share is $90, as it's too much of a pain the arse to get another $10 off everyone.
Staying for Punter's Club MkII:
Bits
Titleist
Daves
Popper81
Lobsta
Brokar
PerryGroves
XRay
Courty
Eags
LeftyHoges
Grunt

Ok I will do up a list and rules tomorrow night when I am off this phone.
Basically, if we get ten punters, put in $10 each a week, and one guy bets the $100. If he doubles it, say $200, he can bet again. Instead of xferring $10 a week, when its your turn, just cough up the $100 and have the bet. Take a pic and we will get a sticky thread and that's it.
Possibly divvy up the winnings at the Qld champs seeing I have already paid up and will definitely be there. Winnings can be paypaled or bank deposit to me and I will keep a running spread sheet and have it in the sticky. That's about it. I will start a list tomorrow and hopefully we can have our first punt on Saturday.

I was thinking a weekly fee of $10 or $20 dollars, depending how many we get to join the club.
One member bets every week, or two if we have enough numbers. If you win for the week, you bet again. Winnings (hopefully to be distributed on December 1st).
We can organise the fine print later ( I will get popper81 to write the rules). Anyone interested?
BITS, nice, I'm in, as i am for a few with other mates, if you dont mind advice from the cheap seats, here goes:
- paying money in each week is a pain in the ass for you as the organiser and.........well me. Make it $50 or $100 to buy a share.
- as convenor, start an account with one of the online guys (I think Tom W posts here ), if we get enough dollars i will get us a decent deal (extra cash to start with), as I am sure Titty would.
- winning implies doubling your money, not backing some favourite at 1.20.

Yeah I think I said something alone the same lines Perry. Lets say we get 20 punters @ $100 a share. We will have one $100 bet a week. So we can go for at least 20 weeks I suppose.
Will I as conveyor place the bet each week, after being told what to back by the punter who's turn it is?
Sounds easy. Is everyone happy to kick in $100 for the year. I will fire up a pc soon and do a list.

Well, I have a spare empty betting account with Sportingbet, in my wife's name.
I propose we use this, and we can all have access to it, you can deposit via bank, bay, paypal etc....
Easy for everyone to login and see bets etc....

I'm in.
I'd say starting up a new account makes more sense than using an old one. Centerbet have a bonus deal up to $200 that we would piss in, though the first week's bet would have to be $200.
Iasbet and tom Waterhouse have $100 ones.

The Iasbet one makes the most sense after consideration. Tw and cb are both first bet matching, so unless you are looking at betting big on one single horse/game for the first round then you won't get as much free bet, whereas Iasbet is a deposit match/% offer, which you can actually get up to $200 on with the sort of opening deposit we're likely to be talking about.
And I've got an account with them already, so we could get a referral bonus out of it too (pretty sure we both get it).
Edit: referrer gets a straight bonus, referee gets a 50% first bet match.
