Royal perth
Haven't heard many good things about the club, but being under 30 means no nomination fee and low subs. Is it really as average as I have heard? Where would it sit in the perth hierarchy of clubs??

Fairways are like Maylands, an old airport. Parallel fairways. Conditioning is good.

Join it.
Then travel the country playing the other Royals.
Then, in 5 years time, move to Adelaide or Melbourne.

What are your other options?
Plenty of cheaper clubs out there.

Are there? Where?
I thought Rockingham and Kwinana were similar.

Thought Gosnells and Harty would be cheaper. The deal freo have ATM I think mates it cheaper.
Like I said plenty of options, but I'm not sure what rp are charging with their u30 deal.

RP for a 29yo is $2100 + $500 bar tab
Gosnells 6 day is $1700
Same playing rights.
RP is cheaper the younger you are but nt sure of the scale for each year between 18-29yo

Wow! These are expensive. Been well out of touch.
Nuffie was looking at the Vines for sub-29s for a time which was was $1000 for full membership.
And before JC pipes in, 'pool, gym...'

Their 18yo is like $800+200 bar and thn goes up from there.
No noms either.
So it really comes down to location as RP ain't that cheap.

Seriously, I would've thought it would be a no brained if your 2kms from RF. 3 of us here have joined in the last 3 months and really enjoying it, great place, great course that's always in excellent condition. I'm doing the 5day membership while paying the noms over the 4 yrs....it's a no brainer really if its a toss up between RF & RP (that is unless you fall into the sub 30yo bracket and you have a thing for RP)

That's great, I didn't realise that option was available. Will look into that, thanks Simmsy/GN

Royal Perth is a great course if you are 70+ and live in South Perth.......otherwise I would look elsewhere. Royal Freo has the same recip's and is a way better course although they have some strange ways of doing things.
Pete
btw RP has basically lost its greens at the moment. Played there the other day and the tees had more grass (and were smoother) than the greens!

lost their greens? That begins to explain how Yoss has been putting up decent scores.

"Hey little boy, let good'ol Roy take care of that for ya"
"Come and give this a rub will ya Yoss"
