Week Commencing 18th February 2013

Slopped around Reddy Bay today, deciding to play at the last minute as the sun was out. They had 10 inches of rain last night, and there was plenty of water on the course. The bunkers were like lakes. It was Tee Up. But for some strange reason the greens were rolling really pure.

Had 32 points. 2 Birdies which makes me happy, both 4 pointers and both with long putts going in (7 and 12). 3 washes due to balls in hazards. I really need to switch the brain on prior to swinging. Do not know if they'll get enough to have a comp if it will be another wasted round. Happy to play though. Next game is the back marker on Friday week, unless I can find somewhere dry on friday.

-2 in par comp yesterday. No idea how to feel about a score like that. Par sucks. That is all.

Played at stroke round at my home course and it was a bit of a comedown after playing such good courses on the peninsula over the weekend. The course wasn't in the best of nick has they have had water supply issues with the treatment plant the last couple of weeks. I started well enough with a tap in birdie after narrowly missing eagle on the 1st another birdie on the 2nd had some bad luck with a fried egg in the back bunker on the 3rd resulting in a double. A couple of soft bogeys on 4&6 then a triple on 8 after hitting hybrid off the tee, turned in 40. Made a birdie on 10 to get back to 4 over then another bad bogey on 12, double on 14, bogeys on 15,16&17. I feel like I could have shot anything but ended up with 80/72.

Shorty - don't get so hung up on the score. Ur going through a massive swing overhaul and the fact ur still shooting 25-30 points is a good effort. Forget the score and have some fun with it.

Solid round at Cairns today, 77 off the bat for 38pts

Left a couple of shots out there but, pretty happy.

Hcp should drop to 6.6 I think; now if I can just backup on Sat

Don't get me wrong i had fun, played with a 80 year old today, had a couple of beers afterwards,I just get shitty when I hit a ball and it only goes 3 inches from where it started. I think it's concentration and rushing that gets me

Turned up today and greeted with freshly cored greens.....31 points 37 putts, turned square then lost the will to live after missing 4 in a row under 3 foot, dragged my arse home 6 over

yeah made a little change in practice on monday, only probably hit 2 poor irons all day.

it's easy when it means nothing though mate.

still happy to do it. alot of days when its crap out there.
