There are pics. Just some very tired travelers who have other priorities.

Will try and upload the ones I've taken today.

IanO on the tee at 4th at St Andrews Beach. Bruce mentioned it was dead right, in his course notes. I think he was being polite. It is clearly ******!

9th at St AB... See my ball on just before the bunker... I played the next from just over the bunker. Chopper!

Lefty missed on the wrong side on 9, and paid the price.

Here a few vids I got over the weekend.. I got a lot off Pete, which seems appropriate, since he was the star of the show.

This could well be the shot of the weekend, no idea how he put it here... but he did. The third at StAB... Daunting drive, scary approach. Peter has jagged it left, and has that much crap to get over that I said that he wouldn't get up and down in 5 shots. I actually took the video thinking it would be funny. how he got it out, I have no idea... I only found the ball because I was on the tee, and he yelled FORE. It was in there DEEP.

    Pete @ Southern

Pete, 18th at Moonah.... Putting the baby to bed

Some of the boys hitting shot over the weekend:

Marto on the 18th @ Moonah

The 4th hole at Moonah... The boys tee off at the top. Meanwhile the group behind us are in the cabbage

Popper on the 5th... shit shot, but rolled in a 30ft for birdie, and then birdied the next to get the round kick started. Great hole

Courty @ Spring Valley, the 5th hole. DODGY FOOTAGE - ( it is only 140m, I hit 4 iron so did "the count".... The wind was only about 4/10.... Scary really)

    Nice work Pops!

I didn't take any photos, I was too busy looking for my golf ball in the kak. But do photos of my blisters count? They've come up a treat!

A few pics I took on my phone:

The two Captains moments before teeing off in the Confederates vs. The Union.

Captain Lefty extricating himself out of a bunker on the 3rd at Southern GC.

Captain Lefty attempting a right-handed shot out of the cack on the 5th (?) at Southern GC.

Marto at St. Andrew's Beach. How the ball held up here I'll never know. He played a great shot from here onto the green.

Spanner039 on the 18th at St. Andrew's Beach (note ball next to the sprinkler). He had the worst luck with bounces all day long.

1st tee at Moonah Links - Legends. L-R: Kev, Marto, Muldude, Monsta65, BenM, LeftyHoges, LarryLong

10th at Spring Valley. Just a PW in length, but certain death on all sides. I stiffed it inside 3m and gheyed the putt.

A WTF moment on China Town on Sunday night with the boys.

Quite the collection of souvenirs from the trip. This stuff is going straight to the pool room.

A vid of me teeing off on the 1st at St. Andrew's Beach (thanks Popper81) straight & long. I promptly chunked a 4 iron into the giant bunker in front of the green and walked off with a bogey.

Sorry, wrong thread, but as it contains pictures and important info I'll keep it here.

Alright guys, this will be a long post but hopefully you can follow my drivel all the way to the end.

Two things to say first up:
    1. THANK YOU. Thank you all for coming, thank you all for making the efforts, thank you all for contributing to this weekend the way that you have. I believe overall that it was a pretty successful weekend with some great golf on great courses in great weather. I'm very glad that it held out like it did and we only got one ordinary day weather-wise.

    2. My sincerest apologies for Friday night / Saturday morning. I hope that my silly actions were not detrimental to anyone's experiences of this trip. I own them completely and just hope that you still had a great time regardless. I don't mind if you secretly (or publicly!) think I'm a bit of an idiot for it, just as long as your fun wasn't compromised. If so, again I'm very sorry.

For those who didn't see, the progression from this: IMG_0955.jpg to this: IMG_0332.JPG was almost instant and seamless. Clearly I needed less of the clear stuff and more of the coloured stuff beside me!

OK, onto the better and more pleasant stuff:

    Physical contributions:
I have many a person to thank here.
andigold - For putting us up in your place of business, for looking after us extremely well, and mainly for allowing this trip to be affordable while golfing prices were on the high side, as a group we can't thank you enough. Donated prizes from his business, also. Thank you too, for running AndyP and Iain around on Monday, saved our behinds.
monsta65 - What can you say about a bloke who hand crafts the perpetual shield for his first ever OZgolf Champs? You can call him every great thing under the sun and it still doesn't come close to what this bloke has done. He also made the NTP and Long Drive marker balls when I'd forgotten, made the hoselrocket award, made me a personalised towel and made himself the peoples champion in my eyes at least. You'll get your name on that shield mate, don't worry about that!
Kev - Did me many a favour, including going out of his way to pick up the yearly trophy. Drove guys and gear around all weekend and was always willing to help out. Donated prizes, cheers!
Courty, Popper and Marto - These guys MADE Friday, all in their own way. Uniforms, lanyards, ideas and much more, their contributions should not and did not go unnoticed. Thank you guys.
muldude - Another first time champs attendee, donated 2 dozen balls to give out. I know you didn't want public announcement of this but without these we'd have had far less to present on Sunday, thank you Deano!
AndyP - More prizes from this man too. OZgolf stuff, personal stuff. Thank you.
FlowerGirl - Made sure we had something to eat Saturday night, even if we did leave it behind (sorry again!). Thank you to the chefs of the day and food contributors Bruce, JohnnyBoy & Shazza_rs.
To all those who offered lifts for our interstate visitors even if they didn't get used, a huge thank you. It was very nice to know that if something did go wrong we had you all as backups for transport etc. I know the interstate guys appreciated it.
wbennett, monsta65 & Lucasto23 - Thank you for paying for my meal and drinks on Sunday night. It was greatly appreciated. I believe it was probably my first full meal since Friday mornings breakfast. To whoever came up with the idea of Chinese for tea that night, a masterstroke.

I'm sure that I'm forgetting someone(s) but if I didn't say it to you then, thank you for your assistance in whatever way you contributed.

    Next Year:

If you guys would like me to organise next years events I will continue on but if someone wants to put up their hand to do it I will not be offended. I'm also happy to work with others if they want to join me.

Again I can't thank you all enough for coming to the inaugural VIC champs and hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and the courses. As others can see from the pictures thread, facebook posts and the replies in here we had a blast and hope you can all make it in 2014! I'll probably start a thread around the middle of the year to gauge interest and set some dates.

    Cheers and beers (not ouzo!)
    Lefty!
