VIC Champs predictions and goals thread
OK, I lied, one more thread about the champs!
Put em in here boys and girls. What will happen? What do you want to happen?
Please note this is not about the Friday match, we have a thread for that sledging already.
My predictions:
DC to fall at the last hurdle to AndyP and miss out on yet another champs title.
NAGA to be not from VIC.
My goals:
150 points for 5 days golf.
Max of 2 double bogies or worse.
Don't snap any wedges.

I like predicting stuff like that because I usually get it wrong.
Goals? To not be too hung over every day, and maybe 155 points over the 5 rounds. Setting my sights high I is...
Hahahah... I just given the 'neighbour' a truck load of cash to bet on you. Hedging my bets. I win, I drink for free... I lose.... Well I still drink for free.
I hate doing goals and the such for things like this. As Courty has shown, they become a bit of a burden. Everyone has gotten on the CLUB 150 train. 150 points seems like it is achieveable, if you hit the ball ok, and the weather holds out. Otherwise... well it could be anything. Good luck with the mission.
Popper's goals for the Vic Champs
# One birdie everyday. Happy with more.
# Break my handicap one round, somewhere. Do that I will be stoked.
# Not be the NAGA
Seriously though..... I don't know if you all quite realise how excited I am to be playing some top course. I have a very limited golf history. Sure there is some good tracks up here..But not the class of down there. It is going to be fun. Not to mention some of the suprises that are instore for everyone. Will really add to the event.
The doctor just told me no golf for 2 weeks, hahahaha... Funny **** he is ( i think he is serious). See how is all works out. I will come down no matter what. I will hit some balls/play saturday and see how I pull up. That will give me a better indication of how I am going to go.

Mate, you will drink more than me... that is a given. You boys should aim to have more fun than me. If you manage that, you are in for a cracking weekend

That was always going to happen, what a tool. 22 stroke penalty for grounding his club 11 times.
I'd have no probs with that shot.
Looked and sounded to me a lot like Iain and Popper actually.

Do you think that the ping pong comp will end up like the Augusta par 3 comp?

Wed- shazza gets her 6 week clearance to drive
Thursday- making it to the course without leaving Paige or my clubs behind. Try and remove a month of cob webs assuming I had game before that.... Maybe break in a new driver and pair of shoes
Friday-shooting 100 and still win 1up
Sat- enjoy a good course bonus if I break 30 pts.
Sun-30 pts would be great.... I hope it blows hard
Monday- not have to buy balls in the pro shop finish on a high of 35pts

Saturday night - are we going to have a BBQ at the accommodation/do we need to bring a 30 can block of happiness?
Who will be playing ping pong this late.???
And as for after hours Saturday, the hostess (and your elected team captain, ozgolf's own volcano) LEFTYHOGES has this set out :
Sat night: BBQ at St Andrews Beach Golf Club. Drinks must be purchased from the club but we can bring whatever else we like. FG can get hold of some meat (stop sniggering you lot!) and salads. Need to know final numbers a week or so before. Probably around $10 a head to cover costs.
I highlighted the important bit for you. Afterwards though, who knows... Some frothies could be the go.

Isn't that like telling the Essendon fitness coach to do whatever it takes.... a little risky.
