Default VIC Champs predictions and goals thread

OK, I lied, one more thread about the champs!

Put em in here boys and girls. What will happen? What do you want to happen?

Please note this is not about the Friday match, we have a thread for that sledging already.

    My predictions:

DC to fall at the last hurdle to AndyP and miss out on yet another champs title.
NAGA to be not from VIC.

    My goals:
150 points for 5 days golf.
Max of 2 double bogies or worse.
    Don't snap any wedges.

Give Lefty enough crap that he'll snap a wedge.
    Avg 35 points.
    Win Fashion in the Fields.

Ok ... only 2 of those are serious ...

I hope it's these two, otherwise you're gonna lap the field. We got some tough tracks here.

I'd love to average 30 points a round but that is unlikely. We could see some horror scores on Saturday and Sunday if its windy...

I'd like to sink piss, not puke like DC, meet some great blokes (and the Queenslanders if I have to) and have a 4 day blast that has me keen to do it again and again.

Except for Southern, I've played em. They're 'playable'. I'm playing pretty good at the moment ... and you'll need that to win.

    This thread is a joke.

I will be happy if I wake up Tuesday morning, without any stupid tattoos, STD's or black eyes.

Bloody good question actually. I'll have to confirm with the clubs. We're not playing the back marker challenge on Saturday, so it'll be the blues. Southern we can play from the tips. Moonah, I'll confirm. Spring Valley I'll have to check to see whether it's a comp, otherwise we'll just play from the tips there too.

30 points is a good target, especially if it's windy. You probably won't quite win anything, but you won't be that far away.

    I like your second goals!

The wind on the peninsula will play a huge part in the scores. Accuweather says there will not be too much, but I'm sure that'll change when we get closer to the day. I can see a score under 70 winning this.

It doesn't take much waywardness to wipe holes down that way if the wind is up. Yes, the fairways can be wide, but a 50k wind can make them very narrow. The 69er bunt would be a good technique.

I've played Spring Valley but never when the greens were uncored, so I am looking forward to getting there again.

My goals, beat popper at the putting comp that he mistakingly challenged me to on Friday.
    Give popper a stupid tattoo
Hire an "escort" to give him an STD
And get Benno to give him a black eye...

Last time I played there it was MINT, which is, coincidentally, who I beat on the day!

Remember, it is a teams thing and Marto is competitive.

Iain to beat Benno 3 and 2.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story, Favourite! For me, I'll be rolling out the ol' faithful 30pt per round average again (150pts for the trip). Anything less & I'll be living up to past form.

Default VIC Champs predictions and goals thread

Given Popper's current ailments, prediction that he'll smash me in our match on Friday.

I like predicting stuff like that because I usually get it wrong.

Goals? To not be too hung over every day, and maybe 155 points over the 5 rounds. Setting my sights high I is...
