    had bccs cut out.
Regular checks resulted in a melanoma identified and removed before it penetrated the epidermis. Golfer's ear.
    That was 2005.

    Get checked, regularly. Cover up.

A lesson I took out of it was to check myself. I might take some photos and then compare some moles regularly.

Andy I was going to suggest Instagram, as there are heaps of photos of moles there, but this appears to be a serious thread.

Just going to chime in here. My family has a strong history of cancers, melanomas and all sorts of wonderful stuff. Both sides are riddled with it.

I have had several cut out as precautionary but my back is covered in spots etc. Doc ran some tests last time in and confirmed I am pretty much guaranteed of getting "something bad" now due to some "syndrome" so need regular checks.

Every 6 months I get 2-3 cut out of the back and get tested etc.

Don't delay, get it done regularily, catch it early. The procedure is pretty much painless and quick (and I am shit scared of needles). I get mine done at the doctors surgery (will depend if yours is equipped I suppose).

Slip, slop, slap (I know I know but its from my Gen), get regular checks. Stay safe, look after yourself.

Just had my annual check this afternoon... had a few solar keratoses frozen (as usual), but it's always a relief when nothing more sinister is found.

Maybe, been thinking about it. I'm pretty fussy with the fit when it comes to them, though. The last one I looked at was $100.

The Nike one Iíve got was $50, probably the best Iíve had.

    So many options these days.

One of the better broad brimmed hats I bought was actually from Barnbougle Dunes. Have to take another look there when we're at the Champs.
    Fighting the good fight!

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Had my trip today to a skin cancer specialist. I thought i'd have heaps of burning and cutting coming on the hands, forearms nose and head but it turns out only two will be cut out - on my back. Didn't even know i had them.
