    Default Swing Analysis - 2rismo

Here's a couple of shots from today's 18 at Calderwood Valley GC. Both at normal speed, 25% and 10% speed. Quality isn't great but it should do the trick. The first shot went dead straight down the fairway but the second went left a little (still on the short stuff though).

I'm an obvious amateur with a best round of 94 at this course. Club is a 10.5deg/R-flex Callaway Razr X Black.

Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions/constructive criticism offered.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

I'm guessing you struggle for any sort of length off the tee and through the longer irons. Your swing appears unathletic and has no lag. One of the guys who draw lines on your swing clip will be able to better demonstrate it.

Thank you, matty. Best I hit the driver is ~230m when it comes off the middle. A normal straight drive is ~180-200m. I find that if I put too much on it I lose accuracy fast so I've slowed it down to concentrate rather than just swinging away. I know I have a long way to go and I'm grateful for the input of anyone willing to offer it.

Check this vid out. Might help you. You don't look like a short or small bloke. 180 - 200 for average drive is just not enough. If you're new to the game fair enough but the vid will show how the body should move through the swing. Much like throwing a ball really hard. All comes from the ground up. Look at the guys shaft angle to his forearm at about the 1.25minute mark then look at yours. Your lower body pretty much starts the swing down at the same time as your upper body. Major power leak.

Thanks for the tip. I'll study it and practice some more. FWIW I'm 6'1" and an unathletic 85kgs. But these 5km walks are helping.
