Thread mine....
Love my Bushnell z6, but I think it might have taken it's last drop - the laser doesnt appear to align with the optics, so getting some pretty funky readings.
Time to upgrade, see lots of familiar and not so familiar options out there. I don't need slope, or any other bells and whistles. Just decent optics, a flag lock feature, and some form of "jolt" when locked on. Used the v5 for a bit today, seemed pretty plastic-y and optics not nearly as good as the z6 - for a tonne of cash.
What is everyone using these days in the world of basic, quality rangefinders?
The Nikon coolshot pro is the shiz for optics, the stabilisation is amazing but pricey.
I had to replace the battery in my V2 for about the 8th time this week.
Its kept trucking on.

Passed on the Tasco at $299? Made by Bushnell apparently. I know they used to make reasonably priced Rifle Scopes and Binoculars.

I've used a Sureshot similar to the Pinloc for a couple of years. Does basics fine, vibrates when hits target, probably not the tightest dispersion, me and my shaky hands often have 270m to the Stobie pole behind the par 3 16th

My mate pranked me, and changed my V2 to yards.
Except the button is busted and it won't change back.
I just want a basic device - the NX7 suits what I want to spend. Anyone got one?

I have an NX7 (non-slope), works well enough for me. Sometimes stuggle to hit pins when the flag's hanging straight down, but not very often. It's the only rangefinder I've owned so I can't compare it to other models. The price is certainly right when you can get it for ~180.
Long time NX7 user and couldn’t be happier. Only issue I found was in foggy conditions, but I think even the more expensive ones struggle in this area. Don’t play enough in fog to warrant the extra $$’s.
Other than that - no issues whatsoever.

Thought my Bushnell jolt was crap as it was always out of focus. That was until Jamie showed me it had an adjuster near the eye socket.🤪
