Bushnell rangefinders are awesome. Favorite feature is being able to hold on the button and scan across to make sure that I'm not picking up an object in the background.

    Hi,

Bushnell are good, but I much prefer my Leupold GX-3 with OLED display, super fast SCAN.

I don't think I have ever used the scan feature in my Bunshnell V3. I would locate the pin and then if there was a bunker carry I would try get the distance to the bunker lip to see how far the pin is on.

I played yesterday and got a distance for my second on a par 3. Lucky my playing partner had a range finder to inform me I had 83 left! They should be designed better that will make it easier to shove up asses! He was using a Bunshnell V3 as well.

Everyone loves a good layup on a par 3, the shorter the better

I often tell my fellow Saturday players not too be so hard on themselves when they hit a bad shot, that is what I am there for!

Cold topped a 6 iron. The Bushnell user offered to give me a distance from the tee but I got upset at that!

Try it bluu, instead of pressing the top button once, just hold on to it a few seconds and move fractionally left and right of the flag. I like it because I'm positive that the reading I'm getting is to the flag and not an object in the background as a higher and lower number will flash.

it's an old joke but i gave my mate the distance to the ladies tee when we were teeing off last week. got a bushnell v3 for fathers day. takes a little practice to make sure you are measuring the pin, not something behind it. i found keeping good awareness of approx where you are so that you know that it is measuring 20m longer from the trees behind the pin

But I have no problems hitting the flag so no need to scan.

ok bimping this, anyone wear glasses have trouble reading the Garmin G3 without specs on, seems it would be a pain the arse putting the goggles on to get distances, might as well stay with the rangey, Golfbox have a great special on the G3, cheers

Yeah I had one of them had to put glasses on to read it. Was a pain so I sold it. Had voice buddy but it died after 12mths. Now have a Bushnell Watch which is excellent easy to read just use it as a quick check. If really want a solid number then use the range finder. But that is not often.

I didn't need to put glass on but I got rid of mine and got a sureshot micro. Larger writing for the centre distance and it as a built in battery, unlike the G3 which requires 2 x AA batteries.
