I'm tossing up an ebay one for ~$180 delivered, or the Golfcraft one for $200....

Price wise I would go the Bushnell v2 from golfbox for $200. But can highly recommend spending the extra cash on the v3. It picks up the pin more easily than anything I've tried.

I have had the sureshot laser for over a year with no issues, and I find it easy to use, no issues with locking on the pin, I haven't used a Bushnell to compare against it thou. I think it has a slightly higher magnification than the V2 as well.

One of the guys here had a sureshot and he struggled to get most of the pins.

I ended up getting the Sureshot and have had no issues apart from having hands that are about as steady as Michael J. Fox. Interestingly, Brisbane GC had these on top of every pin yesterday and blind Freddy could have found these.

I took a sureshot laser (not sure which model) out on the course from our pro shop a few months ago to try & thought it was shithouse. Clarity was crap compared to my bushnell & from memory everything had a yellow tinge, hard to grab pins too.

    Did you adjust the focus?

As I said before no issues with mine, clear and sharp and no issues locking pins.

Hard to tell for me here in Perth today, everything has a yellow tinge to it, the sunlight looks almost like when you have bushfire smoke in the air but not much.

Drummond was out of the $200 Golfcraft lasers but the boss sold me a Sureshot for $209. He reckons it and the Golfcraft are made in the same factory. Same components or not, not sure....can't wait to get out on course and give it a go.

I haven't noticed one, I have not tried a Bushnell, and they may be better, but I haven't had any problems with my sureshot for well over 12 months now.

First impressions of the Sureshot laser are not good. Theme for the day, GPS said 175m. Flag reads as 170, 180, 190, 160, 170. Readings jumped around all over the place. Focusing dead centre on the flagstick and holding steady it would still want to focus on the trees 30m behind the flag. Seemed to do better focusing on the black wrap at the base of the flagstick, but sometimes I'd get a short reading if I accidentally aimed at the green.

Not impressed so far but only 9 holes in windy conditions so early days yet.

Try aiming at the actual flag, it will give u a bigger area to hit.

After using a $150 Chinese eBay jobbie for the last few years I think a V3 is in my future. Mate got one for Chrissy and I gave it a whirl a few times on Saturday and the clarity is the biggest thing I noticed. Jolt was a bit gimmicky for me but the operation, size, clarity, speed and accuracy of it were really really good.

Where the V3 really stands out for me is when there is interference in the background, it will still pick up the stick quite easily.

    Tried that. No difference

like I said, it's only one lot of 9 holes in windy shaky conditions, but I'm thinking of returning it and upgrading to the V3....

Windy conditions are the easiest as you get the full flag to aim at.

Get the V3. Money well spent and will last you forever.
