This isn't parcel related. I am not sure if this is now the norm, but our postie seems to now only deliver ever other day. Not a biggie for us, but I don't remember them announcing/advising this would be happening.

I'm sure a while ago, my postie, "Fingers", said letter deliver would be changing to 3 days a week only, with parcels still daily. Happily I get on well with him and he drives down to my shed in our backyard whenever we have parcels.

Not directly related but reminds me of the excuse given by agl when our recent final gas read wasn't done.I live in Brisbane and was advised the employee couldn't access our property due to flooding in NSW.

My bag got delivered today. Dumped at the front door of the office despite plenty of us there.

Not a delay, but there was another door dump on Monday, while the office was staffed. The tracking status didn't tell me that until today, as it has been showing that it was on board for delivery. Package has not been sighted, and the postie photo only shows the front of the building and not the actual package location. Claim made, but I'll probably never see my new running shoes.

Turns out it was the fault of the morons at work, not the morons at AP this time. Still shouldn't be door dropped, if people can answer the door.

Andy - I have actually been impressed with AP the last long while to be fair. Once they got rid of Farouf and then Holgate the service level actually went up. Thats my experience at least in Cairns.

Received a notification of a parcel at the post office yesterday despite 2 people being home all day. No knock on the door, bell didn’t ring.

Our normal postie is pretty good. Although I live in a block of flats he rides his bike up the drive way, walks up stairs and drops whatever he can at the door.

parcel delivery and normal mail is done by 2 seperate person. The one doing the parcels mostly couldn't be bothered with carrying the item, so he/she will drop that stupid card asking you to pick up at the post office.

Not always in our case, at least recently. I have been handed a number of parcels by our Postie in the last few weeks and I have watched him deliver to the front door of some of our neighbors. Not sure what the demarcation line is though?.

I got home from Golf at lunch time to find out Startruck has turned up with an expected parcel, but would not give it to me wife, as it apparently required my ID to be able to take receipt. Nice of them to not tell me that it was onboard and expected delivery time then!

And Parcel Post delivered another expected parcel whilst my wife was home. My Wife said she knew something was there because she heard it hit the door, after being thrown from quite a distance.

On the positive side, transit times seem to have reduced significantly for AP and other Couriers that have delivered to us recently. Nothing has taken more than a few days to arrive.

I sent an AP satchel last Wednesday and there had been no update on tracking since the acceptance. I sent two more satchels the following day and they were both delivered on Monday. So I popped into the PO after golf today and raised a case. Miraculously, within 2 hours the tracking had updated, and there have been another 3 updates since. Pure coincidence? hmmm!

I had a package the other week that was delayed. Received a message from AusPost telling me that there were unforeseen delays, they didn't know how long it would be, and that they'd update me as soon as possible.

I received no further communication and my package arrived two days later.

Not really sure what's going on there, but was happy to receive it nonetheless.

11 days and counting for a putting mirror coming from North Sydney to Newport. (about 20 min drive)
18 days for a mower part from VIC to Newport NSW.

2 days delivery for a putter from QLD to Newport NSW.

Am completely lost on how and why.
