I have never had any problems with Aus Post with people getting the items, pretty sure their volumes would go through the roof this time of the year !

I passed a broken down north-bound Auspost B-double yesterday just south of Rocky. Then, a couple of hours later I passed a Auspost prime mover headed north to rescue the mail truck.

Someone was telling me that all the mail for Qld heads to Brisbane for sorting, so a letter from Cairns to Townsville would go via Brisbane! They must put some serious miles on those trucks.

Aus Post quoted 8 to 10 business days for my mum's Christmas cards to get to Canada.

They were posted on Dec 1, arrived last week.

Australia Post have become a bit of joke really.

I signed up for Mypost last year. Tracking on there is laughable.

I have a number of items that are supposedly yet to be delivered 1 to 2 months on!

The tracking system estimates the delivery date. It is always overly optimistic. Not once has an item been delivered by the estimated date!

I have an eBay order coming with AP (from Sydney). It was in their hands on 3/7, and their initial email said it was due for delivery on 6/7. That is also what is says on eBay. As they missed each due day MyPost keeps changing the due day out. This morning they send me an email telling me my parcel is "due" for delivery. Not is isn't, it was due last week by your own reckoning! It is way overdue to be delivered today. Ahmed has a lot to answer for!

The fish always rots from the head. I could bore you with lots of analysis of his poor management, but I can't be bothered. He was nothing but at show pony at NAB, and only interested in himself at AP.

I have a parcel en route from Sydney. It left on Thursday. I have received: Email on Friday informing me a parcel is coming at some mysterious time in the future, a txt message yesterday telling me it would be home today and a email as well just for good measure. An text today informing me that it has been delayed and will be coming tomorrow.

Tracking shows it went through the Underwood sorter early this morning, which used to mean a delivery that day.

I have a parcel coming from the US via USPS. According to their tracking it left Chile on 12/7, and there hasn't been an update since.

I received another parcel from the US yesterday that had been sent 10 days later! So I was about to lodge a claim via eBay when it occurred to me that AP are the couriers this end!? So I went into MyPost and registered the tracking number. Initially an abbreviated summary of the USPS tracking came up, but nothing against since 12/7.

I looked again last night and lo and behold, the parcel has now miraculously made it to Oz! No mention of Customs or even it arriving, but it has now left Sydney according to AP. You bet I am suss about it!
