sorry Bushy, that was a false example. I told the lad to send it by NZ post and he used NZ Couriers instead.
Interesting that the declared value was $680 and we never got slugged GST - it wasnt a purchase, just sending stuff we already own between offices.

My parcel just arrived in Brisbane today.

Cleared NZ customs on the 13th August.

    How long to get here??

Not golf related item, but we had a spring break on our trampoline. I contacted the company (located in Victoria) at midday yesterday and they said they would ship a couple of springs out.

At 11am this morning they arrived in my letter box (in Sydney) via normal postman.

Less than 24hours, even with Vic in lockdown.

Why can't golf items come this quick!!!

Have to tip my hat to Aussie Post they refused my parcel for being overlength , I knew I was in trouble when she had the tape measure out before I got to the counter , 1100 mm so 50mm over
That was the main PO in town so I went to our local PO ,no tape measure and got a first name greeting , think I know where I will be sending from now

The small franchise ones want the business so don't follow the size limits to the letter.

Still waiting for a GolfBox order from the 14th october. Tracking says it arrived in Melbourne the following day and has been 'in transit' at Pakenham ever since.

I ordered from Golfbox on Sunday, and received it in Brisbane on Tuesday. I thought that was extremely fast.

Yeah golfbox are excellent, probably the best online retailer i've ever purchased from when it comes to processing orders fast.

Just sucks that a third party like startrack/auspost can stuff things up.

    Ordering Sunday cost a day.

I ordered this morning and fully expect it to be delivered tomorrow.

I bought some stuff from the US that was shipped on 01/09. Tracking showed nothing after it's lodgement until 01/10 when it apparently arrived in Aus and was handed to AusPost. It then took another full month before it finally arrived at home.

yeah pretty much delayed all my purchases....
recently bought some motorcycle parts from US and UK.
if arrive via Sydney airport, it would take 2 weeks to clear customs.
if arrive via Perth airport, it would take up to a month to clear customs....

    terrible

Following up from my post a couple of weeks ago I got an email from golfbox regarding my order yesterday.

I have been following up regarding your late/missing order #xxxxx. I have found out the your parcel package was destroyed/torn when going down the sorting belt at StarTrack and the ordered golfballs have been lost/damaged. We have organised for another order to be dispatched out to you accordingly. Apologies for this unforeseen delay in receiving your order.

a lot can go wrong in logistics, but imagining golf balls bouncing around all over the place is quite funny.

Sounds like either knifed with a fork or runover with a forklift.

I have been to a Startrack depot before; the way those cowboys drive forklifts is absurd

Used to love guys coming into the depot to get their freight , drive past 10 signs that say authorized people only , park their car in front of the truck I'm loading and then want to find a pissy little parcel that they will stand there and argue that it is there because their tracking says so , funny that because I havent been around with scanner yet so there is no way it can be scanned into the depot ? Meanwhile our business deliveries are getting behind because we are dealing with people who shouldnt be there.
Oh and then they walk behind you on the forklift while your trying to load a truck , there is only one winner between a forklift and a person , we had a customer go under one made a little mess of his leg and has never come good . And might I say he didnt have a leg to stand on for compensation as he was not meant to be inside the shed let alone within 2.5 metres from a moving forklift .
At the end of the day the transport industry is time based you have to be quick and efficient while loading and unloading trucks , if you take an extra 10 to 15 minutes to load your truck 5 times a day it adds up into a lot of hours by the end of the week .
A delivery driver is a thankless job , you are last inline delivering parcels or pallets that may be damaged and not by the driver , you are at fault for being late , losing parcels , being early , not having the full delivery and any other thing , I have had a lot of different jobs never been abused as much as when I was delivering for Startrack and Cochraines and I was one of the good drivers

I doubt I’ll ever criticise Aus Post again after this week.

Two purchases from eBay both going across metro Sydney one with Sendle the other Couriers Please.

Both have taken over a week and still not delivered anything, Couriers Please don’t know where the package is and their contact system is completely useless.

From now on I’ll be asking sellers if they use either of these two muppets before I buy anything.
