    So when is Express Parcel not Express Parcel? I sent a parcel by Express on Tuesday morning. MyPost tracking tells me it still isn't delivered? The send and receive Postcodes are both inside their stated areas. And I have read their conditions and can't see any applicable buts or get outs!? I will look forward to their feeble excuses when I ask them why!

    Yep they have gone to shit, Express Post is no guarantee it's going to get there next day any more. The sender needs to ring and put in a query, once it's been delivered you need to ring them and they'll send you a money order for the amount. They bank on you not bothering to ring them to claim it.

    I had to go to the local PO for something else, so took my receipt and asked about a refund. I was told I was entitled to a refund, but had to ring MySupport as they could not deal with it. I have lodged an email request via MySupport. Let's see what the next barrier is that they put up to discourage me from claiming. Is there an Ombusman for AP?

    I had paper work and a cheque sent to me from nsw by express post , never arrived no one knew anything about it couldn't find it didn't really care . Had money direct deposited didn't try again .
    Parcel post is 50/50 have a lot of trouble with them delivering to a similar address about 5 klms away . People at this address send stuff back or refuse to accept it , AP then return to sender , or expect me to go and pick it up . Can't see why they can't just re deliver to me .

    It seems the Commonwealth Obudsman looks after AP issues;

    Well I got my refund processed via the online MySupport, so didn't have to hang on the 'phone forever, like I am sure I would have had to. I am still not happy that this can't be done in store! They are sending me a postal note for the postage costs only.

    I have just found yet another AP delay/slack business practice. I have an item coming from the US via USPS. AP are USPS's agents for Oz, and as I understand it handle their parcels once they arrive in Oz. The item I am waiting for was posted in the US on 3/10 and according to their tracking, arrived in Oz on 6/10. I then added the tracking No. to MyPost so I could track AP's handling of it, and nothing has happened for almost a full week. Late yesterday AP updated it as "Arrived at facility in destination country"! So 3/4 days to get from the US to OZ, 6+ days for AP to do anything, and probably another week before I see it. I will update this thread when it arrives, but I am not at all hopeful.

    Next Express Parcel, same result. It took 3 business days to be delivered this time. Ironically, I paid for it with the Mail Order for the refund on the previous item failure. My next claim has gone in. Is anyone actually getting next day delivery for Express items??

    I don’t think I have for a while Dave. And their ‘regular’ is bordering on a week from anywhere to anywhere interstate.

    The last few items I've purchased off Ebay I've paid additional for Express Post and have turned up the next day with no problems so far. This time of year always sucked though for extra freight with pre christmas ramp up and I'm so glad I'm out of the industry now!!!

    Got the 2nd refund this week, so it take about 10 days for them to get it to you.

    I had a wine delivery via AP this week which I was anxious about (they smashed one of the cartons last time). It arrived intact, but only just as one of the carton bottoms was wet and basically falling apart. Thankfully the contents were still intact. The one positive is my AP parcel delivery guy is really good to deal with and very helpful.

    NSW > VIC > NSW > ????

    Estimated delivery started out as 20/3, got drawn out to 21/3 over the weekend and now is 23/3.

    Auspost up to their usual tricks, pay a little bit extra and go courier wherever possible

    I bought an item off eBay on 21/6. It arrived today via Parcel Post (from Chullora NSW). It is clearly marked as having been posted by the Seller on 22/6 i.e. next day, so 13 business days to get here!
