Been lurking in the shadows for a little while and thought I really should contribute for what it's worth. OZgolf seems to have plenty of members that fit into similar categories as myself including....
Self confessed HO. Check.
Ability to take the piss out of myself and others where necessary. Check.
Currently playing the OZgolf ball of choice, Penta TP5. Check.
I'm originaly from the Northern Beaches in Sydney but I've been over here in WA groping sand for nearly 4 years now. Not a member anywhere at the moment so I've just been hacking my way around the public tracks but am seriously considering the options for which club to join. Would like to get myself a proper cap. Golfshot app on the iPhone currently has me off 20(not sure how accurate this is as far as calculating a cap) with my latest two rounds being from Wembley last weekend which were 90 (Tuart) and 87 (Old course).
In the bag currently are:
Adams 9064LS 10.5 deg with stock RIP 60 reg
Cleveland DST 15 deg 3wd
Cleveland Mashie M3 21 deg
Ping G20 4-PW CFS reg
52 and 58 Vokeys
Mizuno Line90 Katmai putter
On the bench will have to wait for another post or maybe a WITB thread. You wouldn't think that someone who has only been playing semi-seriously for 18 months would have the need for 4 sets of irons, 3 drivers, 2 fairways, 4 hybrids, 2 putters and 3 bags!!!!!
I'll have to keep an eye on the 1st tee thread and perhaps join some others for a hit sometime.
