That'd be the infamous "8 & 7, handshakes at 11" match where Golfer69 towelled up Jarro.

It will be closer than people think. Canuck on his longest exodus from golf since enduring a long Canadian winter.

I need to slip out and play 9 or go to a range before this happens. There is no way I am gaming a reshafted 3 wood that I have hit twice and a driver with a new shaft that hasn't.

Hopefully the greens have recovered for the core.

Cheers to Shades for manning up. I know others around here wouldn't, with the exception of that cat JC, who is taking on SMS off the bat.

Why don't you man up and play the Driver & 3W...isn't that why you had them built. Isn't it why you spent the coin? Manliness comes in many forms.

Shadesy has home course advantage and hi new high ball game just doesn't suit KB any more.

You weren't included in that comment, Nut. I know Hocko would man up too.

I beat simmsy in skins off the stick. Go heaf. Or JC. I love you both but Heaf offers more chances for a random bumming.

    Nice work shadesy.

JC to choke and it'll be your finest hour.

I like playing lower cappers off the stick too, it feels ghey to get shots during matchplay i reckon. I might have had a win off the stick in a friendly against a single figure guy recently too...

Interesting to see be different mind sets of our illustrious WAnkers out there. More support than I thought.

This was my idea but naturally JC jumped at it.

I play off 10 currently but I don't want to forever. My goal is to play off 5 eventually and this is the start of the journey.

How many shots in pennants have you had to give up in pennants Hocko? Or JC? If we played 3/4 it would only be 4 shots anyway.

Matchplay is pure golf and I I cannot beat him on merit then I don't deserve to win. Like Tommy said I have birdied all holes at KB and eagled 3 of them. How is it fair that I get 4 shots?

I am up against it here no doubt, but why should I play average and still win? I will have to play some really really good golf to win. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be?

Unfortunately I haven't play or even ranged since Mandurah either so it could something in the low 80's that wins it

Naturally I jumped at it. Get bent.

Even the other day I said it was entirely up to you.

What will the reactions be? Nut is already trying to claim your 10 unused shots for his next play, so he'll be playing off 24.

I had the same theory vs SMS. Sure, he is a much better golfer than me, but is it fair I take 3 or 4 shots when in my mind I should be at least parring all the holes?

That's why I think it's a good idea Shades. Imagine wanting to be a 1st grade cricketer but never training or playing against cricketers at that level; you'd have a hard time getting your game to the level required.

    Good luck mate!

Come on JC... we all know youre the most ultracompetitive loudmouth american handicap shot nazi around. Your afro would have nearly hit the roof with your jumpingness at the chance .

I might try and swing wednesday off work to come down and sledge you both (weather permitting).

I am so the Underdog here.

I was speaking to Tom Waterhouse and he has me paying $5.25

The only way I could be on higher odds were if I was playing DC68, who I am told still smells of stale fish.

I do watch out for those that try and manipulate their handicaps, correct.

Good to see that Shades has a set.

Who did you beat off the stick, Tommy?
