IanO; how much is a golf membership in the Czech Republic? I'm certain it would be a lot more than here.

Where do they remove you to after the 3rd warning are you ever seen again
We play in mixed groups at our club its a disaster the women only want to play with the men because they cant stand each other
45 handicaps , 6 for 1 on a par 3 i don't even get a shot on ugghhhh don't get me started , and ..... smh
I don't think I've ever seen a course marshal "take action" as such. The best you ever get is a gentle reminder to speed up a bit. If the marshal is actively watching your group you can guarantee two players in the group will immediately lose a ball.
Most course marshals I've seen were more interested in selling stuff than any monitoring of the play.

It really depends on the club. Most 18 hole clubs are about $1,500 per year. Most 9 hole clubs charge a modest amount ($150-$200) and tehn give you a 15%-20% discount on green fees.
It generally costs about $50-$75 to play a round, although expensive clubs are about $100-$150

Course Marshals sell only water (and then only on hot days). If you are told to get off the course, you go back to the club house. The Marshal takes time out to talk to them about ways to speed up play.
An interesting thing I found in yesterday's comp. All the groups were four players, except one, which had only 2 players. They are renowned for slow play.
Before you are allowed to play here you have to get a "Green Card", which is the Czech Golf Association handicap card. You can only get it by A. Attending lessons with a professional until they deem you have the skills to play a round and knowledge of the rules, or B. Have a registered Handicap from another country that they can verify (I showed up with a letter from my home club in Australia and the CGA issued me with a Green Card with my home handicap.

54 is the 18 hole handicap
History here has shown me that most 9 hole rounds are completed in around the 2 hour mark and 18 hole comps in about 4 hours, even with the high handicaps and women in the field. I must add that many of the women I have played with are very serious about their golf.

Maybe an official ban on practice swings of any sort might speed play up.
Easy. When it is your turn to hit, the first 15 seconds are in silence.
After that, your playing partners can move around and make noise to get ready for their shot.

Ready golf , shorter hitters off the tee first be ready to go when it's your turn , don't stand around chatting , save the chat for when you are walking to the ball
How long should you be allowed to hit your drive?
From time u put peg in ground to when u hit ball?
20sec?
30sec?
1minute?

I have read some thinking that says you should stand over the ball for 8 seconds, no more, no less.

Add say 10 seconds max to line up and walk into the ball. So 20s should be doable, 30s is luxury.
Wow.
Then I do t know know anyone close to that.
I'm about 40 seconds I think. A lot of others are slower. I'd like to see someone hit their tee shot in 20 seconds to see that routine.

Here you are, video of the big 4 in a Skins match. 2 minutes total for all 4 to tee off. Watson and Arnie were over the ball for 8 seconds, The Bear and Player about 11s seconds each.
20 seconds here.
8 seconds to hit the ball.
10 seconds for playing partners to apologise that they didn't realise I was hitting and were still talking.
2 seconds for them to realise that I wasn't listening to them in the first place.

So no one here taking a practice swing at all? No lining up?
Just peg it and hit it?
