Default Official VIC champs thread - Feb 15-18, Melbourne

    Advance weather forecast here

Please double check the table in post#1 to make sure your accomm and golf details are right.

Thur, Fri, Sun accomm: andigolds Park View Hotel on St Kilda Rd. He's supplied us the very generous rate of $62.50 per person twin share, with option for people to room up as 4's for below $50 a head. An absolute steal to be so cheap so close to the CBD. No prepayment required, one person in each room to put up a credit card on check in & then just pay on checkout. 10 days before for final numbers is enough notice.

Sat accomm: Here. 15 people officially booked in for Sat accomm. $70 a head.

Fri golf: Southern GC. $60, carts are an extra $45, pull carts $5 hire. We have the last 5 groups booked from approximately 12:30 onwards. Should give interstaters arriving that morning a bit of time to get to the hotel, or straight to the club and have a quick meal or drink. Daylight no issue for any of these times as Daylight savings will be in full swing.

Sat golf: 6 tee times, 12:00PM onwards at St Andrews Beach. Cost will be $85 & includes cart or $69-50 without. Please note if you decide prior you don't want a cart but then want one on the day they will be $40.

Sun golf: Confirmed, 5 slots, 9:20AM to 10AM at Moonah Links Legends Course. Cost of $95 & includes cart.

Mon golf: Spring Valley GC - 7:56AM hitoff. Cost of $82.50, no cart.

So, a total of $200 for golf on Saturday & Sunday, with $20 going towards prizes. Or if you wish, please pay the full $342.50 for all four rounds golf, or the full payment for whatever rounds you are playing + $20 for prizes. Full payment preferred but instalments OK too. Final payment by 22nd Jan 2013.

    Meals / activities:

Thurs night: Had in Lime restaurant @ Parkview Hotel. Chicken was magnificent but the Lamb Wellington is still my choice here.

Fri night: BBQ and salad had. Some regurgitated. Andy has provided a conference room for "activities". They will be good fun and include the all important BYO alcohol (which some should steer clear of next year!).

Sat night: BBQ at St Andrews Beach Golf Club. Drinks must be purchased from the club but we can bring whatever else we like. FG can get hold of some meat (stop sniggering you lot!) and salads. Need to know final numbers a week or so before. Probably around $10 a head to cover costs.

Sun night: Was the awesome idea of Chinatown with beers @ Young & Jacksons hotel.

Can everyone please welcome Monsta65 to the 2013 Official VIC champs. Welcome to OzGolf (and what I'm assuming will be your first champs) mate!

For anyone else still interested, we are still taking people for this.

Geez, you'll be leaving early Friday morning. Were you planning on playing golf that day? Or did I get that wrong?

4:30 departure and we'll be at Southern by 12. Shared driving and we'll do it easy - its 690k from my driveway to Southern, with over 600km of that divided 110 roads. We'll be at Albury by 8 and on the ring road by 11. Easy!

I checked flights too - to fly to Melb, I would have to be up at 5 for the 6am flight anyway.

Yeah, fair enough, a nice cruise down the Hume Freeway for 90% of the drive is just fine. Cool, great stuff fellas!

Great news, I always enjoy looking through photos of champs events. The more pictures the merrier (except for in incriminating circumstances, but those places don't let you take pictures) so look forward to this. Maybe that's a Kev thing, as our other Kev is a bit of a camera enthusiast too.

OK, leading the way with payments: AndyP. Nice job from our leader.
Also received payment from LarryLong and majority of payment form timah! Thanks guys!

Added additional column for cart wanted for Saturday golf. For those that don't know, price of the round drops from $85 to $69 without cart but will probably cost you an extra $5 on the day for a pull cart. If you decide on the day you want a cart it will be the normal $40 or $45 price (can't remember which of these two figures it was).

I think I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than go and watch my bloody Western Bulldogs get flogged by 10 goals by both of those sides!

But on a serious note, it is something we could consider.

I'm cool with that, although someone will have to explain to me what the hell is going on all throughout the game.
