Don't know where to ask this, so I'll start here.

I've put some music I had into itunes on my laptop, and it's synced it via icloud or whatever it is and it's showing in my apple music app on my phone but it's greyed out and says not available in this country or region. I've uploaded other cd's I own that don't appear in itunes and they've all been available for me to listen to fine. So I can't work out why this one isn't? Sure, it might be an album that's not authorised for streaming in Australia, but if it's from my own source, what is the issue? Is it something to do with the music matching stuff, and should I try and do something so that itunes doesn't recognise exactly what it is?? Annoying.

Think I solved it. iTunes thought my laptop was in the US. Turned off itunes and some other things and then opened itunes again, then opened apple music on my phone again and suddenly the music isn't greyed out and can play it!

Just had my 6 Plus replaced (at a cost) by Apple after it came down with touch disease, coincidently a class action was filed against Apple in the US to make them admit there was a hardware problem with the iPhone 6 line, they don't like to fess up.

It is quite ironic really. Apple has become exactly what they warned us Microsoft was (and still is)!

My daughter has a 6.... Battery is reported as bad and it runs like a dog. She's still gonna save for a 7 though rather than replace the battery. Wonder if anything will actually come of it all? I think I read that replacement battery sales and refits have had a jump!

Ah, sorry Gaz. Got my wires crossed. The se was released quite a few months after the 6s line, and may use some different hardware in the screen since it is like the 5 series. So maybe it won't have the issues, out they fixed them before the se was released.
I hadn't heard of the touch disease with them. Don't think my daughter is having that issue, and my son's se is fine.

I kinda get where Apple were coming from with this, but not letting people know what they were doing is the issue. Peeps have surmised for ages that the newer software wa designed to make the older phones slow down to encourage you to want to buy a new phone. Maybe technically that wasn't actually Apples plan, but that was the effect of it. And it's not because the battery life itself isn't good enough, but that the older batteries lose their ability to put out enough juice to run things so the phones were actually shutting down while there was still a decent percentage of battery left.

If they'd just told people to change their battery, then while I'm sure plenty would not have been happy about it, it's still a much cheaper cost.

Except you are only "allowed" to take it to an Apple store for the battery change, that will be $160 thank you very much, Ka-Ching!

That cost would only be when out of warranty too, I assume.

Which is when your battery would need replacing - doubtful it would need it in the first year. We got one replaced in a iphone5 once when it was 2yrs 1day old. They tried to argue that we were one day too late, but I pointed out that we tried to see them the day before but they had no time and booked us for the next day. It was under a battery replacement program that was available for certain 5's, but had to be done by the 2yr date.

Actually, it's worth looking at the apple aus website.
"If your battery needs replacement, we can repair or replace your iPad for a battery service fee. There's no fee if your battery is defective and your iPad is covered by warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. Our warranty doesn’t cover wear from normal use."

Notice the comment regarding consumer law? Maybe if it is outside warranty you could get somewhere......... maybe.......
